Never been a fan of cruises... & absolutely no chance i would go on one now & get stuck... thought if you have internet access & plenty of booze...

I’m not allowed. Missus is convinced my demise will be death by misadventure. She tells me often. Oddly, she’s not yet in the frame of mind to maximise the likelihood of her expected outcome for me.

Especially after the way he’s been carrying on about mass gatherings

I actually tried to privately tell him those cruises are literally floating petri dishes. One of the reasons they copped so much flack is because they recirculate all the cabin air.

Its mind boggling that he has gone on one, given the pandemic. Especially given he could have got his insurance to cover him.

This was going to be his 19th he said!

what a cop out- he is a state premier in charge of his event - HE should have made a call regardless. Look at the NBA, look at the NHL, they made calls without waiting for government. Leadership comes from all quarters and waiting for others shows exactly what you said - a lack of leadership..but it is from themselves
Sorry, but that's a garbage opinion.

The NBA, South by Southwest etc are all privately owned. They have completely different legal structures.

The last thing any city or state wants is different processes in different regions. That will mean shutting of state borders. This is definitively something that needs consistent national leadership, but there has been extraordinary failings on that level from our current government across our most recent crises.

They're obviously out of their depth.

Now i have heard it all. So you think that only federal government can make decisions in the interest of its people..strike a light

Blue blow: Veteran goalkicker to miss opening rounds of season - http://www.afl.com.au/news/385122

Did he take Burton with him?

Love that we send all our guys who can't get onto the park to Carlton

The AFL is considering playing as many premiership matches as possible in the first weeks of the season in case the corona virus outbreak forces the competition to shut down.

The league is looking at a range of measures, including having five-day turnarounds between matches. The options were canvassed in talks with club chief executives today.

Key points:
  • The AFL has informed clubs they may introduce a five-day turnaround between matches
  • The league is also considering shortening the length of matches and raising or removing the interchange cap
  • The AFL season is due to begin on Thursday night, with the Richmond versus Carlton match to be played behind closed doors at the MCG
