Ive never been, you can imagine once this coronavirus fiasco is over, cruises will be dead set cheap as chips.

Being described as floating petri dishes is not a good image.

I'm getting on a cruise ship tomorrow, going to NZ for 2 weeks. Princess & Viking have both cancelled all new cruises (i.e. not already in progress) for the next 2 months. I'm sailing with Royal Caribbean, who haven't announced any plans for cancelling cruises... yet. Safe to say that I'm watching my email closely, and monitoring announcements from the Govt re: closing the borders.

So let’s get this straight, you are bitching and moaning about the government not enforcing the ban now instead of Monday and not passing some responsibility on to organisers and attendees and yet you are still going on a cruise, which if you start having positive cases will lead to a strong chance you get it or at worse you’re out at sea longer and then need to be quarantined at government expense.

I thought this was an urgent health emergency.

Oh the hypocrisy.

Can someone who Vader doesn’t have on ignore point this out to him please.

Not many people realise that the gas fields off of the coast in East Africa, in particular Tanzania and Mozambique are much larger than the reserves on the NW Shelf

All be it some in much deeper water. Some of the reserves are shallow, some are in depths of around 3000m

Just sharing a small part of my experience with you. The last time I rode a JetSki was in La Pas in Mexico with my nephew. Clearly 1 each, and a bucket load of fun. So much we went back day after day.

Though for me the fresh fish tacos and the tequila with the senoritas in the evenings was just as much fun

Dan Andrews waited as long as he could for direction from the Feds. The Feds refused to provide any leadership or decision making ability, so he was forced to make the call himself - at the very last possible minute.

This is happening all over the place. State Govts and private organisations (e.g. the FIA/AFL/NFL/CA) are waiting for leadership, direction & instruction from the Federal Government. As usual, all Scotty cares is how he looks in front of the camera and how he can spin things to blame the ALP, and how quickly he can return the budget to surplus after the crisis has passed. While his interest in saving SMEs is reasonable, what we really need is a proper strategy for containing the virus, proper instruction for how to get tested, and information about how things will cope when the peak hits. All of that latter stuff is where the real leadership kicks in, and for much of it all we hear is the sound of crickets chirping.

Sounds like you dont like Scotty. After reading the statements that the clubs have made regarding the No Supporters they all have attributed the decision to the Govt direction regarding 500+ gatherings. I must admit though I never checked the timings of the press releases

He’s upset because if Morrison had called it early he might have got a full refund for a cruise he’s going on today. Yes he’s still going, he’s choosing to go on a confided mass gathering for days because he will waste his money otherwise, ignoring all he’s been bitching about, ie the need to ban mass gathering. One massive hypocrite who doesn’t like Scotty.

I know, we’ve had examples of cruises being stuck at sea with no where to port and yet he’s choosing to go on one? Madness.

It’s a hard thing to not do, but if everyone demands refunds and claims insurance plenty of these travel businesses are going to go under.
We've got 5k with carnival as credit now as we pulled out on going on a cruise on Tuesday.
