My honest opinion is that Eddie isn’t trying to ignite any hatred of the club. It seems more to do with the click bait journalism, with leading questions and then saying “Eddie said it”.

Quotes directly from Eddie’s mouth I would agree. Quotes written by a journalist, particularly from Victoria, doesn’t carry the same weight as from Eddie’s mouth.

I'm delighted to report that with a combination of new donations (thank you BigFooty) and some further support from the club (waiving some fees in return for referee duties and suchlike), our boy is now sorted for the 2020 U18 season! He is a 17 year old Ugandan refugee, who can’t live at home because his mum has mental illness and there is domestic violence. He is living in supported accommodation with Baptist Care SA, where Mrs Arrowman works.
He is in school (Year 11) and doing well. Baptist Care staff describe him as a fine young man. Soccer is his life, he is passionate about it, and he is in the Adelaide City U17 team and he is a prospect for the U18 team. But…
It costs $1400 for the year (kit, referees and other costs). He has a Saturday morning job and has arranged to pay in instalments, but he needs help.
We have two donorswho are paying half, and we are looking for help to pick up the rest. He was told about this first half this morning before school, and he was jubilant.

Well, to be fair, your average person who doesn't have any knowledge of how media rights work, could be forgiven for being upset and using the wrong channels.
