Honestly I think a footy club's influence over the private lives of their players is one of the most overrated things ever. Geelong couldn't turn around Mitch Clark's career after his issues with depression and it doesn't look like they've done any better with Stevens. At the end of the day a footy club can educate their players and provide support if needed but they can't dictate a player's social life or morality.

yeh but club actively makes a decision to recruit said player with known issues. That reflects on the club.
