Collingwood: Pick 11 2020 + Norths 2021 3rd & 4th round picks

We trade out this years pick 11 (likely 13-14) for next years pick ~12-15 in a reportedly stronger & less compromised draft.
We pick up Stephenson for change that Collingwood gets to chop them out with young Daicos.

Agree that is both doable and desirable, but for me it should turn on whether we can get the bulldogs 14 this year, which in turn hinges on the BBB outcome

I can't see where the two scenarios intersect.

Then aim for a deal for the Dog's #14.

I'd then love Collingwood to involve their future 1st in a deal with Stephenson.

We have a bit more flexibility then with 11 & 14 and I'd be prepared to trade one of them.

JS - they picked him up with pick 6 (2 spots after LDU). Imagine being offered ~26 now. No doubt it's a tough one to swallow for Collingwood supporters.

The only thing pushing him from a first round into second is the salary cap issue. It will be daylight robbery with selfies of facebook if we get this done.

The point would be to jump first, because I' reckon the Dogs would have also eyed off a similiar deal with Collingwood.

Tell Collingwood that this is the Stephenson trade and it is off the table at 3:00 pm.

Nah give them pick 26 and we’ll cover some of the bill, or pick 50 and we’ll cover all the bill.

Throw pick 11 into Cox or O’Driscoll.

The Treloar deal very likely involves a top 10 pick off the Dogs that they receive for Dunkley.

Dogs banking that top 10 pick for the Pies 1st 2021 R1 pick into next year to avoid the JUH discount.

Pies jump ahead of McInnes bid with one of Essendons top 10's via the Dogs.

They receive Trelaor for nix for the top 10 vs potential 10+ Pies 2021 pick difference.

Makes total sense.


Dogs receive Pick 8, Pies 2021 First Rounder and Treloar for Dunkley in the end.......

We probably need 25+26 to put together an offer that’s tempting enough for the dogs to trade 14. They don’t want to have to keep too many list spots open so they’ll be less interested in a lot of garbage picks for points. So that means holding out for 26 from the dees. Then as Pykie points out, 14 gives us more options for JS including the possibility of a future 1st.

I want so many future firsts. Give me all the future firsts.

If that were to happen along with Stephenson and Young coming in and say 5 picks in the top 30, surely the narrative needs to switch to the "most exciting young list in the comp" quickly.
