Let me get this right. Tom Phillips and Jayden Stephenson are contracted for a combined 1.18 million in season 2021. I hope everyone backs off and let’s them stay at the pies. They are in a huge mess

**** me, this is the biggest **** up of list management I’ve ever seen.

They seem to have back ended every contract on the list.

As for Caldwell, there can’t possibly be a way Essendon could structure a deal that we couldn’t pay.

If we let someone like Caldwell pass in the PSD the pitchforks should be out for Luffy and Brady, it’s EXACTLY the situation we need to leverage.

If we are going to deal with GWS for #2, I’d almost make it contingent on the deal, they block Essendon and send him to the PSD.

We should be all over it.

We want pick 20 + future 2nd for Higgins and 28 according to Cleary.
Also we are not interested in Tom McDonald.

Fake news
How so? We were still negotiating with him and then determined he doesn't suit our game plan going forward - told him to find a new club. he didn't walk out - we told him we would trade him. Sacked might be a harsh word but at the end of the day we told him to go. How is this fake news?

Come thursday the pies will be dumping blokes for 5th rounders. They simply can’t keep their current list without exceeding the cap next year

It's shaping like a good year to hold on to your chip stack until very late in proceedings.

What would be the AFL punishment if they were to go a million bucks over the cap?

So much for all the crap about North having to take what they can get. As if Brady was ever going to buckle after just introducing his no bullsh!t hard arse approach to list management.

yeah I'm ok hilly, thanks for asking mate, I don't often care who we pick in the draft, but occasionally I see something I really want, when I saw Caleb Daniel I wanted him with one of our two second rounders in 2014. I see so much in this kid Campbell, the way he attacks the ball and he is pure silk as well, just fingers crossed we bid, even though some in here think that would be crazy. and when those say what happens if Sydney don't match, I seriously say oh fu*k please don't match, but again, thanks for checking in, I am feeling quite good and like the path we are taking.

You forgot our 1996 Reserves Premiership, I believe a Gold Cup in addition to those listed will suffice, Dice Man. I can still picture Matty Armstrong holding up the much-loved Cup.

****ing genius….. love it.

For interest sake, where would you have BCampbell on your own personal Draft Big Board, Pykie?

Because different lists are at different stages of being built or maintained, and different list managers have different opinions. GC might think that getting the one KPP to partner King is their absolute top priority rather than stocking up on more mids. We might think extra top 10 picks are gold and midfield depth is our top priority. As long as we stay in the top 5 this year it’s all good (unless we somehow take a collection of garbage picks as the add-ons in which case sack Rawling).

I know he’s projected to go a bit later but maybe they are really keen on Phillips (played with Rowell and Anderson) and don’t want to risk him being gone?

Let's see if Collingwood panic late. They seem to be able to hide their problems.

What shits me is Daniher fetches pick 7. GWS want 2 first rounders for Cameron which they'll probably get from Geelong. Brown ... 2nd rounder, if lucky.

I still suspect we'll see some deal done benefiting the ability of the Lions to pay overs soon. He wanted to get north of the border and had no other suitors with the Swans losing interest so the contract size wasn't required.

The AFL would give them Hollands and Ben Brown as punishment.

Cornes confused that a club who "hasn't got a leg to stand on" for either trade won't take crumbs for valuable players.

Music to my ears. 👍

He's another moron who I would like 5 minutes head to head with live on air.

Who the **** does he think he is? We're the NMFC, and he's a certified sh!tman cashing in on a media stunt his old man taught him.

They still seem to have no idea what we are asking for Brown.

"We are surprised that North are digging the heels in"

Higgins is contracted, hasn't fallen out with the Club and his value to us has increased because of our sudden change in list demographic. A late - take it or leave it - second rounder has absolutely no appeal nor does waiting around until the Cats sort out the Cameron mess. Personally, I'd give them 24 hours to cut the s%#t and hand over pick 20. If they don't, we retain a class player and they'll soon learn not to treat us like third rate amateurs.

And with speculation that Anderson may leave ( which I doubt) but if true, Higgins becomes more important and we get a higher pick there.

keep Higgins and extend a year in that doubtful scenario

Do they have a ****ing chimpanzee in charge of the books down there?!

This answers the questions about whether Collingwood have a Salary cap.

They sure do.

they have just structured their contracts in a way that the allure of playing for them with all the bells whistles and jobs for family means that players take peanuts at the start of their contracts.

Every list manager everywhere should sit on their hands and give them no out.

it'd ruin their list for a decade.
