I have argued too much about the downside of trading him. If we get reamed we get reamed and it is a mark against Brady.

If we take the magic beans and make a first round pick happen its about neutral for mine, not great but not bad. there is no path I can see to this being a superb outcome, given what is being floated.

I can understand if the swath of picks values BBB in the teens or around the very early 20’s and we parcel them up to do a deal for a player or pick upgrades.
But the deal floated doesn’t even value him at the level of Braydon freakin Preuss..

I think 2020 will be an outlier for Stevo. 41 goals in his 1st season as a skinny kid when one on one he easily beat bigger more experienced players. He isnt a forward, TAC was a mid and that's where he will end up. He just did things from day 1 that made me stand up, he just sees the game quicker, only Pendles at the Pies does that better. We all rate our own I know but for mine he is better than all the Magpie and Roo junior talent. I reckon he can be top 10 in the comp.

Please. Honestly this is just unadulterated nonsense.

He's closer to being delisted than a top 100 player in the AFL.

I would have kicked 30 goals in your forward line in 2018, wearing jeans with a splif in one hand.

If this is the case I hope the actual sticking point is having the dogs involved for their pick 14.

The core trade could be something like:

North	Pick 14	Brown
Melbourne	Brown	I don't care
Dogs	I don't care	14

there'd be finer details, it might be Brown + whateves.

but this can be the core.

I could be wrong here, but I think we got a 2nd and a 3rd for Gibbo. And we're roughly getting a 2nd and 2 thirds for BBB.

NFI why we wanted him out, but we clearly did. In that context it's probably not the worst outcome.

Explain how we're better off this way than having re-negotiated to keep a quality player and loyal clubman for 3-4 years?

The club clearly doesn't believe he is a quality player.... and the fact that all we can potentially get in the mkt for him is two maybe even one 2nd rder clearly shows the mkt has a similar opinion of BBB as north
