Just remember we don't get anyone decent at trade time.
Who can remember the last time someone nominated us as their preferred club?

Ratten may acknowledge he can play both ends, but the fact he has been placed with the defenders during this period despite the lack of key forwards tells me the club is currently views him as a defender first. That‘s not entirely correct has trained as both defender & Forward most of preseason
Because of Covid restrictions with limits on number of players they are unable to train as normal.
According to Ratten he plays either end , think the midfield experiment has ceased.
Of those you listed only 1 is a forward who is contracted at the club beyond this year.membrey, battle, roma resting forward, marsh, that lawyer kid from perth.. bing
Shoe size??Never been more confident about player at StKilda ...does that help.
Skill Level ....Elite .......kicks both feet , strong fearless , elite vision, attitude to doing extras .
Roughead is really focused on his development , listens & takes in what he & Hannebery say.
Really disappointed he didn’t play in Hawthorn practice game myself with some minutes on
Mitchell.

I think a big area of concern is a 2nd key forward.
We have King and Membrey - who is sized to play as the 3rd tall - but no one else beyond them. I wouldn't want to go into another season without another feasible option in that position.
It's an interesting situation with Battle and Carlisle. Carlisle is our best CHB and I'm completely on board with the Carlisle/Howard/Wilkie trio down back. What concerns me is the talk of Carlisle leaving at the end of this year. If he is to leave, Battle/Howard/Wilkie looks good too, but if we don't play Battle much during the year, I can see him walking. Don't know the solution to this because there really isn't a need for another tall in the team at the moment.Agree thats why I cant believe they havent moved Battle forward again! Be interested to see where he lines up in this weeks scratch match as we have a plethora of tall backs and no tall forwards excluding the rookie Mayo.
That boy is a off spring of c.ling just with a better build. His mum might be a body builder. What I'd do for Matt Rowell right now. Has to be the biggest built 18 year old I've ever seen.
If patty didn't have his head knocks and was showing a bit would we have drafted kingI keep hearing people talk about all this promise paddy showed. I never saw it. He had no natural forward craft, was slow, short and diabetic. He had no understanding of leading patterns and regularly cut his teammates off in leads. The few times he got near the ball he missed completely or dropped the mark. I will never for the life of me understand how we justified him at 1.

Great assessment and I have complete faith in your confidence. How long before he makes his debut do think Stew?

Love hearing about the focus on transition! Looks like it's paid off too if last week is anything too go by.Training today : Battle played forward in match simulation.
Long was on modified training might not play ...Webster trained well.
Pretty light session overall , Roughead was in charge .
Main focus transition of ball , overlap running a feature.

with Moose Toys too .......hello Paul SolomonI think gresh is the most frustrating player on the list. Very in and outI think we don’t really need to draft anyone. I can see butler and lonie snagging just as many as a betts. Lonie is really improved and kicking set shots, butler is revitalised at another club. There is still a lot more upside to our current list. Zak Jones might just become that elite inside mid. Jb to be more consistent. Roma to be as good as a Grundy. Hill. King to kick 100 goals a season!gresh to consistently get 25-30. I think marsh or battle up forward will also create that chf marking option, if members gets beaten, hopefully not against Howe this week.
