Nothing has been locked in stone yet but as far as I'm aware, people werent happy metro indigenous were left out of the NGAs and it was seen as unfair. The proposed change is that WC and us get full access to ALL indigenous talent in the state in exchange for only being to take take them if they fall to pick 40 or lower. Can someone clarify the rules around some of our NGA prospects only being available to us if they fall to pick 40 or lower?
Potentially, no official rule change yetOk so if Jesse Motlop for example tears it up next year in the WAFL and is a top 10 pick we don’t get access to him?

I have it on good authority he is a lock for pick 1I believe he is a regional NGA member, not Metro.
Our non access to Motlop might be more to do with NGA scaled back, such as players eligible for father son selections at a club not being available to any other club as NGA players since it goes against the spirit.
Nobody should expect the NGA system to continue for long once WA begins adding an extra second round selection each year with the occasional first.
Let's use my boy as an example, he could be signed to Freo NGA because he is in the West Perth zone but because he lives metro he won't have priority access for Freo unless he is bid on at pick 40+, which obviously is far too late for him because he will be a top five pick.

There are two zones with different rules.I’m confused.
Is Motlop on a NGA list or not ?
Is Motlop city or country? There are two zones with different rules.
Metro nga players are only available after pick 40.
Taylor said country. I am not sure.Is Motlop city or country?

Any thoughts on where Winder is in the scheme of things?Swans v Peel Colts looks like a cracker. Trew v Winder in the middle.
I know for a fact an Eastern States recruiter was over here with a bunch of names on the list and Winder was one of them he was told to have a careful look at. Decent chance to go late in the draft from all reports, list sizes could hurt him as an over-agerAny thoughts on where Winder is in the scheme of things?
Winder isn’t an over-ager born in 2002I know for a fact an Eastern States recruiter was over here with a bunch of names on the list and Winder was one of them he was told to have a careful look at. Decent chance to go late in the draft from all reports, list sizes could hurt him as an over-ager
I think he is underrated. Was a forward last season and transitioned to the midfield and is now leading Peel colts in the centre. Hoping the list size thing doesn't hurt him - think a club might end up with a bargain though.Any thoughts on where Winder is in the scheme of things?
