If we are specifically looking at outside run...
Nathan O'Driscoll will obviously be at the top of our list being the top WA midfielder. With his size, you would expect him to move inside eventually but I do like him out on a wing. And it does seem as though JLo likes the idea of having bigger wings - Bewley and Acres with us, trialing McCarthy there and even Mayne when he was at Collingwood. He's a good runner with a long kick, think he'd fit in very nicely. Our points deficit might be the problem though, as of right now there looks to be a top 7 - and O'Driscoll is arguably #8.
One guy who would be a great fit is Oliver Henry, a medium sized utility. He could be that marking third tall up front or the link man across CHF. Potentially you could develop him into a wing, but he's not going to be a huge improvement in terms of outside speed. Archie Perkins would be discussed on a best available front, but is more your forward/inside mid potential. The other one in that next grouping of about 4 is Tanner Bruhn, but again inside is where he does his best work.
We could put a bid on Lachlan Jones from the Port Adelaide NGA. He's primarily a medium defender, but has the potential to be the best midfielder from the draft. He's big and powerful with speed, his run off half back could easily translate to the midfield. But any bid for him will definitely be matched.
The last guy I'd be looking at is Jack Carroll. Our pick potentially may be considered too early, but I've been saying he could rocket into the first round mix. He has the height and skills that clubs love, and he's shown off some real versatility too. I think he could be a very good wing.
