Round one 2021, Rich Vs Carlton season kicks off. Who gets in to watch the game if its 50% crowd at the G?
The question on everyone's lips.....

Spoke to the membership dept today and it will be home club members that get priority each week and reserved seat holders first..... as it should be. If you’re not a member you won’t get in until it’s 100% capacity ... which should happen mid to late in the year

Watch them make it home members and corporates only.

For the bigger clubs not even home and away reserved seat holders will get a seat.

No worries to the supporters who can't afford memberships hey.
These reduced numbers are really not necessary in my opinion. They are not allowed until community transmission is seemingly under control, so reductions smack of tokenism. Providing protocols afe in place to keep to a designated area, guarding against the off chance of an outbreak, full capacity is surely as acceptable a risk as 50%. Normality where practical please authorities.

Sporting supporters across the country are screaming for content. This is one area the economy can be kick started. If we can accommodate the international tennis players and other sporting participants coming from global hot spots we can return the local community to normality providing community transmission is "seemingly" non-existent.

Did who we play change, or was it just a confirmation of dates and venue?
We already knew whom we were playing and the venue. All we did not know was what day or night of the weekend it was.
Now we know they are two Sunday arvo games. The usual 3-20 pm tv timeslot for channel 7 on Sundays before their news.

Not sure that it's the worst time slot at all, unless you are talking about on a personal preference. Sunday arvo 3.20 p.m. is live on 7 which is great for sponsors etc. Unfortunately they are both away games but it gives us an idea of where the AFL sees us in terms of drawing a crowd and viewing audience. String a few wins together and we will be looking at some Friday night blockbusters later in the year.
