One argument for going Gibcus is that it'll be a lot easier to find mids at our other picks than it will be to find a tall. We need both, so Gibcus makes sense.

The argument for not taking Gibcus at that point is we can get him later in another pick even via a trade because not every club wants a key back at the moment like the Lever scenario.

The thing is club's will want Gibcus before GWS's pick 13 that are not adverse to that type for need

again, why would you not go a mid when cotch is going, edwards is probably going, and we are clearly thin in that dept?

You can argue we’re also very thin with a KPD stocks too.Tarrant will of course be a very worthy Astbury replacement for thr next couple of seasons but we really lack depth coming through to be able to takeover him and the Grimes.

We have Ben Miller and will re-draft Biggie but they’re both still unproven and we beed to find Balta a long term defensive partner for the next ten years.

I think if we are looking to trade up into next years 2nd round it wouldn’t surprise me at all if we are into Dylan Landt or Bailey Rogers with a late selection this year. These 2 guys are mature Agers that could slot straight in at the level if required. I’m particularly keen on Landt who is quick and a left footer.

I don't think Hobbs is rated in the category of Dusty, Petracca, Bont etc. as he's very one dimensional.

Obviously we'll never know until a few years time but it seems clubs are only desperate to get their hands on JHF and Callaghan.

I really think he is unlikely to get to 7 especially when others talk him up.

He may even go to the Hawks.

You're probably not looking at a Dusty-level mid at that pick (unless you're very lucky).

I'd say if we're choosing between Hobbs and Gibcus its a bit like choosing between Prestia and Grimes. That sort of level.
