Key Off-Season Dates

I had to collate these from three different club websites because the AFL is lazy af and doesn't have it on their website, so thought it might be helpful to share:

It has an index at the top with threadmarks so it's easy to find what you're looking for – or easier than scrolling through 250 pages of AFL Rules, Regulations and CBA pdfs anyway.

These sorts of questions are all answered along with a bunch of other resources made by posters from across BigFooty (feel free to add to it!):

I'm 100% for Mac if we bring in an additional 1st rounder in a trade but only about 70% if we use pick 2 on him.
Yep, if we aren't getting MAC and a good first rounder for pick 2 I'd just take Callaghan and be done with it.
MAC looks great though. Exciting, once he puts on some size he'll be tough to deal with as a ruck/Forward

Disappointing that Finlayson's GWS career is going to end like this after how promising it was looking during 2019. Talent is clearly there but his inconsistency made it difficult to give him regular games. Going to need Riccardi to take a step forward next year because he's going to be asked to play regular games with Hogan likely to miss time at some point during the season with rest or injury.

Dollars off the books and he gets the family support he needs .... a fair outcome but a 2nd would have been nice
If he wasn't on our list, I would've been upset if we'd traded a 2nd for a player like Jeremy. He's still coasting on potential how many years in now?

Finlayson leaving gives us an extra list spot doesn't it, could mean they grab an extra player in the draft?

Finlayson is a very talented player but he does lack the key requirement of any elite player which is unconditional effort.

I still clearly remember several times when he was having a dirty day when he turned his back on the play and dropped his head.

He will continue to do mercurial things and will also continue to drop his effort, it’s what he is and what he will always be.

This makes him surplus to requirements and a Port Adelaide player today.

Yes. 33 now on the main list; so minimum 3, maximum 5 spots to fill. Total list (ML + Rookie A) assuming Lloyd retained & Mummy retires is 33 + 4 = 37, so also 5 spots. Ergo, we can take 5 spots to the draft: currently #2, #13, #52, #71 & #89.

We can pick up 3 at the national draft, and leave 2 spots vacant; fill one or both in the rookie draft or PSD; or bring in a DFA. With an academy kid such as Patrick Voss, we can match any bids in the 50s onwards for minimal to no cost from next year's draft haul, or if not bid on, automatically put on the rookie A list (normally would be cat B rookie, but that's full I believe [if international cat B is the same category as standard cat B]).

If we split pick #2, that could allow 3 picks this year plus matching a bid on Fahey.

We have a fair number of options now.

That's it. Farewell Jeremy. Giants are now T0J (the zero Jeremys).

Yeah, we really got plenty of flexibility coming into the draft. They could stay put at #2 and still have a really good draft hand, from all reports they're quite open to trading down the order and grabbing even more picks plus it's good to have a few list spots free to take advantage of anything that may come up.
