It has an index at the top with threadmarks so it's easy to find what you're looking for – or easier than scrolling through 250 pages of AFL Rules, Regulations and CBA pdfs anyway.

These sorts of questions are all answered along with a bunch of other resources made by posters from across BigFooty (feel free to add to it!):

With hawks: 13 + hill for pick 5
Values hill at a late 20s pick

Hawks get hill and still retain a 1st rd pick
We get callaghan and mac andrews - though means we will be down a pressure forward with no like for like replacement. Ronke a cheap unsigned player who could fill that hole without having to make a big move to another state?

Was about to ask what your biggest list needs are and where do you think your club would value Hill.

Guess I'll see myself out.

😅
Ha ha, he probably would be a good pickup for the Pies, but still, you've got a few small forwards (Elliott, Brown) plus Daicos coming in who may well start forward ... and pushing JT out, so figured a small forward would be down the list of priorities.

From the GWs perspective, Pies have little to trade, so would depend on if they were open to a future pick - 2R would have to be it, and we hope Pies do poorly next year. We might have to split pick #2 or #13 to now replace a guy we didn't expect to have to.

Is he a similar case to Jordan Clark, young player shows some exciting flashes but hasn't been able to secure a spot in a good team. Going rate for Clark seems to be a pick in the 20s is Bobby worth the same?

Fwiw id happily trade pick 22 for hill (should we get it for clark) kid will be a gun. Hope you can hang onto him.

Just can't see Hawks moving back from #5 for Bobby, unfortunately. I support the idea though!

For me it would be swap our pick 13 for your 11 and a future 2nd. He was best 22 before leaving the hub and we have put a lot of work and development into him. He is the logical replacement for Tippa.
I’d do that deal without blinking, doubt McCartney will though. Too much bad blood there

Is there any concern over aboriginal players leaving the club. We've had Williams, Finlayson and now Bobby all at least attempt to move from the club within the last 12 months is there something we're not doing correctly, are we not offering enough support or is it fair to assume that it's a coincidence and they're all leaving for seperate reasons. I've always thought of GWS as very supportive and progressive when it come's to celebrating different cultures so just thought it was curious.

Twomey reporting Essendon is among the clubs set to chase Bobby. IIRC Cal's a Bombers' man, so probably has the links for this to be good gen.

In that case, the #13 & Bobby for #11 & F2R might be the best outcome we can get. #11 might keep us in options for players we want/need better than #13 does, but only to a small extent. F2R from Essendon could be in the 30s in 2022, so definitely unders for Bobby and I'd want more.

I'd be of the view it's just coincidence - 2 of those (ToJ & Bobby) are driven by GF/baby wanting family support which might not have been such a factor until these last 2 years of COVID-driven state border closures. The other was Zaccy getting an absolutely motsa payday - that could have been anyone.

I did have this thought when I saw the Bobby trade request news, it's not one you like o have about your club but always worth considering. I give benefit of the doubt to us though given Williams left for an extra 300k a year, and both Dorsal and Bobby are quoting as wanting family close by for their new children

Geelong with Eddie will be the club.

Geelong:Clark out for hill
Giants: hill out for lobb
Freo: Lobb out for Clark.

that slimey manager at work.

hill for Lobb is not a good trade for the giants but that’s what it will effectively be if hill leaves

Very fair

I don’t think it’s a concern

Looks to be a coincidence to me

No it isn't a thought I'd want to have but I think it's important we're self aware enough to see if there are problems that we address them as a club and recognise them as fans. I think if it happens again I'd consider it a bit stronger but I think it's something worth monitoring for now.

Reporting is Geelong and Norths the other clubs chasing. Geelong is very odd to me - they've got Stengle on the hook with his former mentor Eddie Betts becoming a coach, so TBH I put little credibility in that. Norths I'm surprised at, reckon they've got enough small forward talent too. Anyway, the Jordan Clark pick (#19 or #22) we'd have to accept (and if Cats were simply passing it on, they'd probably just take the #22 and run now. From Norths, we'd want #20 - I wouldn't want a F2R as they'll most likely rise up the board.

Still  at this arising.

Good smalls are a commodity atm and there aren’t any on the market

As much as I’d like a player I don’t see it happening

Rachele in this draft?

Rachele is in this draft; we're unlikely to see him get through to #13 though. Even if we did the Essendon swap proposed, I wouldn't hold out high hopes that he'd make it to #11 either.

We'd have to look later in the draft at someone like Judson Clarke, or Jesse Motlop (whom PMBangers likes) ... maybe an Arthur Jones could be an option if we are suddenly in the market.

Yeah we'd probably need Richmond's 7 for Rachele, and even that might not be enough, if we really wanted him. I think Hill nets us a pick around 20 unless we move whatever we get for him on for Lobb, so Clarke or Motlop would be the ones around there that'd be best imo, I'd probably lean towards Clarke given his athleticism pips Motlops

Fun one for you guys, but with a lot of list spots opening up at the Giants I think it's worth looking at this guy to draft.

Draft profile

I think if we get some picks back for Bobby we should consider this guy. A year or so getting mentored by Phil Davis and I think we might have another seriously good tall defender.

He's a good compliment to our top 20 draft hand.

Our record retaining indigenous players is not great but I don’t think it’s because our club is doing the wrong thing but we certainly don’t have the wider resources and historical connections that others have. We need to keep developing this and perhaps bring in an indigenous rep at some point.

I wonder if we could get him to St Kilda? Perhaps not so much a need for them unfortunately but a pick swap for us to 9 would be valuable and he has huge connection with Bradley Hill.

That's the trade I'm hoping for

The Brad Hill connection has been brought up ... so possible, but Saints are a team that don't really need him, thus unwilling you'd think to give up anything decent.

Similar to the Bombers' hypothetical trade, #13 for #9 would open up a few more options for GWS, but I doubt that Saints want to do that. Mind you, with how even the draft is, they could take it and run as they might get the same player as they wanted anyway so Bobby would essentially be free. #9 might just get Rachele, if we were looking at him as a replacement option.

I liked it better when we were having a quiet trade period.

He's been discussed on here, certainly an option. Good interceptor, disposal leaves something to be desired. I wouldn't mind him - I guess from the club's perspective, it depends on what position they see Mac Andrew taking (if indeed we're into him), whether we lose Bobby, whether we gain Lobb and what we pay for him.
