As of yesterday, and despite their best efforts to undermine him and Victorians generally in their fight against the virus, his deadly enemies at Murdoch Newspoll say he is currently heading to increase his majority by another 7 seats.

PS, and this poll was taken after the Pandemic Bill deadlock.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the general public.

If he's increased his majority, how is that rusted on? He's actually gaining support.

As for the pandemic bill, it's almost like folks don't realise other states have the same thing now, but Victoria's proposed bill has more checks and balances built in than other legislation elsewhere does. Not to mention it was introduced after the opposition leader said it would be better if a Government minister signed off on it instead of the chief health officer. As usual, the Liberal opposition have complained about something Dan Andrews has done, and yet when he changes tact to something resembling what they want, they still complain. And they want a bi-partisan committee with members of their own party involved. Could you imagine it? They'd be so busy deriding everything the Labor members want to do that nothing would ever get agreed on.

More checks and balances lol. His government, or people he has appointed are the ones who can approve it. Thanks for the laugh.

He has complete control here. There is no independent oversight. That’s the whole argument. Do keep up.

Is Bob gettin a little frisky in some eps?
I just watched one episode where during his shower he started cleaning his brain - put his hand through his head to wash it with soap

It was a bit trippy

Ok. Except for the bits that are not. The bits that people are protesting about.
Not starting a fight. Just filling in the bits you've decided to leave out or possibly just don't know, that are dangerous to democracy that people should know.
And when you consider the state spends 4billion a year on police you can see why people and especially people that have come here after leaving other countries with similar powers maybe may be a little concerned?

Such as " authorised officers (not police) the power to detain people under quarantine"
"The minister may make any order that the minister believes is reasonably necessary to protect public health"
That's a law lol. "Reasonably necessary"
"Will allow the minister to issue orders to specific classifications of people. Such as where they live, an event they attended, their age, vaccination status, job or living arrangements."
"If a person fails to comply with an order they face fines up to $91,000 or 2 years in jail"
"There is no time frame for a maximum period of detention" also there is no clarity whatsoever where people will be detained.
Now I don't care what side of politics you are on, or how much you love Daniel Andrews.
No reasonable person could possibly think laws like this are necessary.

I know Dan's a fair narcissist but I don't think even he would believe that poll.
But I suppose you could believe those polls that always turn out to be wrong these days or have a look at the amount of people that showed up yesterday.
Which one is real?

There are some things that are very adult, and would go straight over a childs head.
Like the Simpsons used to be

As I got older and rewatched episodes I had seen as a kid, I was at times wondering how my parents ever let me watch it

But I also realised those things I understood when older, would have gone over my head when I was younger

Lmfao at the ending- i didnt mind that.

They should have cut at least 15 minutes from the running time, made it more "snappy" hurry up and move it along.

The last 20 minutes were cool.
Honestly I never made it to the end. Maybe I missed out.

Ive not seen one minute of Spongeybob

Same. Friends tell me I'd like it, just never got around to it.
I love animation and watch a LOT of it.

For those of you who read underground comix, they just started streaming a Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers cartoon, it's pretty funny. Definitely not for the kids, though. Lots of drugs, cussing, sexual content.

You can watch it for free but I haven't checked to see if Australia works, hope so:

Both I reckon. I find it pretty funny. Not a bad show.

I like shows/animations like that - where there's an element of innocence for children, but then something more grown up included that adults can enjoy, especially adults who kinda have to watch the shows with their kids

Or those who just like to watch animation

There was a show called Fairly Odd Parents. I ended up liking it more than the kids.
Seen every episode and downloaded the movie.

Yeah it’s funny how you watch things now and notice something that’s really smutty, that you didn’t even notice as a kid. There are certainly more than a few of those on the simpsons.
