Trying a William White Shiraz tonight, a bit meh. Got something called Holy Trinity too. Specials at the local. Especially average.

Plugs drinks at the pub, $40 gets you a few pints these days. That's how I know I'm getting old, I pay for a round and walk away shaking my head.

12-14 dollars a pint in Melbourne. I was appalled the last time I was there. You can't justify that. I ended up having Carlton draught for $7 in Camberwell...You could really "taste the savings." I couldn't justify drinking that shite, or the ridiculous hangover that came from it.
Stopped drinking in pubs after that.

A friend and fellow Saints nut bought me a bottle of “All Saints Estate” ( Rutherglen) moscato.

Not the greatest dessert wine fan, but it does go down a treat with a few blocks of Lindt!

I'm sure the price of beer in pubs is causing less people to to go there , I feel people drink at home now where years ago everyone would to the pub after work - of course the crack down on drink driving caused this as well.
You can't justify drinking 12 to 14 dollars a pint only if you were attempting to pick a sheila and even then she would have to be a stunna.

This new rule will keep Clavarino in a job next year

AFL rookies have received a boost with the league set to allow them to spend a fourth consecutive ‘replacement year’ on club lists, reports AFL Media.
Current rules only allow players to spend a maximum of three years on the rookie list.
But clubs have been pushing to give rookies extra development time following disruptions due to the last two Covid affected seasons. The league has reportedly granted their wish, writing to clubs informing them of the extension.
It will be particularly beneficial to third-year rookies who face uncertain futures, with clubs previously forced to decide between handing them a primary list spot or delisting them completely.
In other news, clubs were rejected a proposal to retain last year’s rule where players were able to be freely moved from the primary list to the rookie list without being first delisted.

His a rookie B but most probable in the same boat

Category B rookies are recruited directly rather than drafted, and represent players from non-traditional recruiting backgrounds. Players who may be recruited as Category B rookies include: International players, who are neither Australian citizens nor residents. Players from the New South Wales scholarship program.

Add to that we had the worst fixture this season. When it rains it pours [emoji90]

It really depends who the players were. Hanners, Carlisle, Geary, Gresham, Paton and you've already taken up 105 games. Paddy, Marshall, Jones, HC all missed a few etc. But then if you class guys like Frawley and Battle as best 22 it adds up very quickly.

To me the injuries that we couldn't cover were the rucks. Most of the others haven't had a major impact on winning and losing.

A lot of games were lost through a lack of effort or cracking under pressure and losing games that we had no reason to lose.

Dunstan was huge for us in the first month that he came back into the side, and is still playing pretty well now, but why even bother with the stats on this one? The eye test is all you need to know dunstan's kicking is a liability. He can't hit a target, long or short. Crouch is no nicky winmar but he at least puts the ball to advantage more times than not. Dunstan's flat drop punts spin horizontally and land in the strangest of places.. like ben simmons, at this point he should probably try using his other side it's that bad
I think reality would suggest about 2 out of 10 of his kicks go astray.
