Bit list spots at a premium, I guess we get whatever at our first pick then try for Keeler/Michalanney

Could not agree more, he's a big bodied 188cm running back with a booming kick that has all the hallmarks of being able to transition into a mid very quickly IMO. Think Brodie Smith with a harder edge. He's been so good at setting up the Tassie Devil's play from half back on the NAB League the coach is probably reluctant to give him too much time in the midfield.

You’d have to think it will definitely happen in the next couple if years..

Depends if we hold out 2nd round pick- we could take him there if he is still there and match a bid on MM after that. Would be a good result

MM matching a bid using some of the remaining picks..

Keeping pick 5 would be ideal though.. if the suns accepted our 2023 1st..

Rankine, Phillipou, Keeler and MM would be an awesome haul..

Four completely different players. All of which are needs. Keeler as a very mobile and skilled KP/ruck prospect at 198cm would be brilliant.

In reality.. if North gets a PP and other candy thrown at th from the AFL the idiots at our club should be demanding we atleast should be allowed to match a bid on Keeler..

Clarke is not in the top tier (4 players) of this draft so at least compare apples with apples.
He is in the 2nd tier with 4-5 others and there's a few mids that are quite different to our current lot.
So if you couldn't separate Philipou, McKenzie, Tsatsas and Clarke on current talent and future projection would you take Clarke based on size when the rest of our mids are quite small?

If you feel we need or could do with another 180cm mid then surely Hamish has failed miserably with Milera, Gallucci, Poholke, Sig, Davis, Jones, McHenry, Berry, Taylor, Soligo, Schoenberg, Pedlar.

Surely we have 5 currently that we would rate without including Laird, Rachele and now Rankine.

I mean how many 180cm mids does a side need?

Why would we NOT pick Phillipou? Seems an absolute no brainer lock at that pick. Local, what we need, underage potential.

Apart from the Port supporting, what possibly could we say no to realistically?

At this stage they don’t have the capital. I can’t see anyone above us wanting to drop all the way down to 8. The most likely team to trade with them is us
