I don’t think he even does that. Someone compares a players traits to a superstar and he suddenly thinks that player is their literal clone.

Cadmans the standout key forward sure. But suddenly he’s become the best key forward ever to come through the draft.

He’d be some way behind Schache, Boyd, Patton etc if you were to put them all in the same draft.
Yeah, somewhere along the way he just turns prospect x into a reincarnation of Jeremy Cameron (Cadman), or Dangerfield (JHF).

His wayward kicking gives me the spooks. Also not sure a low-possession KPF is what we need
Weren’t we keen on the Butcher that Port picked up with pick 8 years ago? Could clunk marks but his kicking made Cloke look like he was Tiger woods on the green?

He would also be 3 or 4 years away body wise, I still don't think he will go top 15
Cal's phantom form guide for sept has him at #10, but thats how he ranks him, not where he would get selected. As with all the pick swaps, it will depend on clubs and their needs.
10 will be 11 with a bid on ashcroft, which dogs have but they wont get aother forward. Dees at 13? Or too similar to JVR?
Eagles at 12 (maybe?), GWS wont, then its us at 16

Ok so I’m hearing a lot of experts saying that this years draft class of talls has not lived up to expectations. This could be a good thing for us, we might be able to get a key forward at a better cost than we thought. Scully for example, then we play them at FF in the VFL for 2 or more years and let them develop and learn the craft and not repeat not switch them back after a couple of game because we don’t have talls back there. We now have a few talls for the back but not forward. I don’t know the names of the forwards in the draft that have dropped down in expectations I only know Scully because I remembered the name but numerous experts have said about the disappointment of this class. I say take a risk on one of these kids, we don’t need another 3rd tall or hybrid tall. Take a shot and if it doesn’t work so be it but at least I’ll stop complaining about not drafting key forwards. 😂 let’s be honest I’ll still complain but about other things.

Know it’s all hearsay at this point in time but I read somewhere we are really keen on Lemmey.

If it’s a matter of picking Lemmey or keeping Poulter I know which one I’d be aiming for.

He still has lots of talent.

He’s probably the one, based on the pick we’d have to use, I’m most keen on.

I wouldn’t complain with both. But I would love at least one.
We are also keen on Hayes who would fall at our first pick. The way I see it, we don't need anymore midfielders or flankers so I think we take Hayes with 16 and Keeler/Lemmey with 25. Key back and forward is exactly what we need

Wright mentioned we’ll look to bring in a ruck, so maybe one tall and one ruck?
Interesting - I know Keeler has played both positions. Barnett is a pure ruck who could be looked at with one of those 20s picks maybe

I was about to post the same on Bangers latest phantom. But then I thought more about it.

Unless it’s a hybrid forward like Keeler, I can’t see Wright/Hine taking a ruck early in the draft anymore.

I reckon he’ll be after guys either very late, rookies or via trades.

Trading for rucks is 100% the go. Let others pick them, develop them then offer them opportunity.
