I think Essendon will take Bailey Humphrey. Gold Coast Ginbey. It’s gonna be interesting who Hawthorn take with their first pick. Tsatas, Clark or maybe Mckenzie? If they take Clark who appears to be who Geelong are after then that opens things up. In that scenario I could see Geelong take Buss….which then has a flow on effect for who the Eagles take with both Ginbey & Buss off the board. I reckon there’ll be a few surprises.

I know nothing about Clark but Geelong seem to be pulling local boys back even from Melbourne clubs. Picking up Clark feels like it would be a risk that he just cracks the shits after a year or two and you have to trade him for pennies on the dollar.

I'd think if Richmond couldn't sort him out then StKilda is no chance.
He had that fight in GC and broke lockdown rules in WA (for which he went to jail which is absolutely crazy and uncalled for). His offences are about half of what Stengle had. I would pick him up for sure, the worst thing that can come from it is some bad publicity if it goes pear shaped, upside is, he can still be a pretty good player I reckon. Plus we are used to bad publicity.

I would take any good player , however if he doesn't do the required work that is needed he will never for-fill his potential.
By the sounds of it Richmond gave him every chance and he blew it , I would rather give a kid in the draft a chance who is willing to do the work.

This has given us a few good players in the past - Geary , Sinclair , Wilkie , Marshall all rookies.

Milney wasn't bad off the rookie list too!

Yes, if it doesn't stack up for him he'll never feel fulfilled.,

I think Henry is the only player on their list that has been traded from a Melbourne club to go home.

I wouldn't hesitate to take Clake if he slid that far, although I can't see that happening.

The RookieMe/Draft Central full draft guide is out.

I encourage everyone to get their hands on it for the low low price of their email address.

Said the same about WC too unfortunately
I can’t see them passing on Busslinger.

Which means both should be available at our pick.

If Carlton take Hollands. It then comes down to the dogs at pick 11.

Make a trade and take both.

Eagles back in at 12.

Twomey usually has good mail. Only reason people are expecting Buslinger is because he's from WA.

They were also expected to take Johnson last year.

I won't be getting my hopes up about the Dogs giving up their first either. I think if we are going to trade back into the first round uts more than likely going to be a later pick.

Stav, what trade scenario you think could happen to take both?

Twomey saying we are keen on Phillipou and Mackenzie
Reading through the draft central guide has me a little off Phillipou. Pretty low production type.

Can’t go wrong with McKenzie. Averaged 25 touches this season & has some great traits. Honestly though, apart from Ashcroft, Humphries looks the pick of the bunch averaging 20 touches, 2 goals & 100 fantasy points. Looks like a De Goey high impact type. Would love to trade up to grab him.

I’d also be happy with Busslinger. Averaged 22 touches & 7 marks. Great numbers for a tall intercepting backman.

There is something about Barry Humphries. I reckon he could be a real star type. He's less safe bet but higher ceiling. Phillipou looks decent though too. Agree on McKenzie, he reminds me of one of the Swans guys who does everything well but not really flashy.
