Cam or Poo. I reckon its nearly certain we get one of the two.

If they were the only 2 options who would everyone take?

Give me Poo.

Cmac thank you.
The Poo could become a star or may well go the way of Jayden Stephenson or anything in between. Cmac goes like the energizer bunny which is the main trait that transfers to AFL. Plus the kicking, plus the tackles, plus the...

Has anyone contemplated Clark falling to us? Don't think it's out of the realms of possibility....
I'd be a bit disappointed with Clark. Looks like he will be a good player but he doesn't have that explosiveness or size our midfield is crying out for and so many in this top 10 appear to have.

I tend to agree, particularly when the top of this draft has so many good and different big body midfielders, but in saying that I haven't looked closely at his highlights and by all accounts projects as a 200+ club captain sort of pedigree. Just gives off a bit of what we already have.

I bring it up because a twitter poster has predicted the Top 10, and this person had credits in the bank through the trade period also. Has us going with Clark. It's been posted on the Draft Rumours board.

Funny that we will be slightly let down if we get CMAC on Monday.
Sort of like Christmas in the 70's, you hoped for a dragster surprise but you actually get a Malvern Star your parents have been talking about since June.
You are happy with the bike, but not that excited and a bit jealous of the kid across the road who got the exact bike you wished for.

Quicker than I thought. Like.

Also decent kicks to advantage/space :thumbsu:
I know I am getting old.....but I reckon that McKenzie has a fair bit of Peter Crimmins in him.
Blonde hair
Similar physique
Stabby kicking style
In and under rover style

No genuine media outlet has linked us with him or even mentioned us having any interest so even if Clark is there at our pick, it seems there are other we have more interest in.

According to the Hun Phantom (only 30 picks so just our first)

Pick 10 St Kilda - Jedd Busslinger

East Perth/WA – Key defender, 196cm, 82kg

The Saints would like to add another key defender to their list and Busslinger is the best available this year. It would mean potentially overlooking Next Generation Academy prospect and classy midfielder Cameron Mackenzie, who impressed while training with St Kilda earlier this year and is rated a top-10 prospect by many. However, Busslinger looks a more sensible option on a needs basis. A forward in his earlier junior playing days, the East Perth product impressed with his intercepting down back during the national championships and has said it would be “exciting” to move to one of the eastern states.

McKenzie goes West at 14

I feel like we've been vocal about needing more class and speed to the midfield. Or at least more vocal about that than adding another key back.

Apparently he's a hawthorn supporter too so probably would be happy to go there

A lot of players have already accepted going anywhere is part of the system. You'd be surprised how many don't want to get to the club that they support and prefer the best system or a successful environment to start at. Most want to stay near home but other than that the club environment and a chance to play in a successful side are probably bigger draw cards.

Geelong is a club that players want because they hardly ever drop and players know that the professionalism and standards will get the most out of them.

Yeah, I like Phillipou, just gives off confidence and X factor. McKenzie looks a set and forget type who looks like a certain solid player at worst. Phillipou probably a bit more uncertain but more X factor that could see him become a star. I wouldn't mind either or both but probably gamble on Philipou

He's a bit meh to me too. He's very inside and a bit messy. I can see why Geelong would want him, he replaces Selwood as that coal face mid which they don't have much of.

Bulldogs will be an interesting watch. They have so many good mids and a couple of good LPs but still could do with bulking that out. I think that Busslinger would suit them if he drifts out otherwise Jefferson. Otherwise maybe some outside run. Brayden George looks a good get for them though. They can afford to sit him out.

Think we could certainly do with leadership and sheer determination. I wouldn’t be disappointed even though bigger or faster may be more enticing.

Speaking to reporters, Hewett said he’d “recently” spoken to new St Kilda coach Ross Lyon ahead of the draft.

“The prospect of playing under Ross is there but there’s a lot of other clubs that are around that mark as well,” he said.

Despite the uncertainty around his AFL future, Hewett said he was “confident that I’ll be in the first round”.

“It’s a matter of the pick right now, I just don’t exactly know where,” he said.

“I’m thinking around the eight to 12 mark, within there. You just don’t exactly know and I could go a bit behind there.”

So we have been confirmed to speak to the Pou, cmac, holland and Hewitt. Atleast we know we are after a mid. That’s part makes me happy
