I reckon they'll just keep Seeds on the main list, delist Turner and then pick him back up in the SSP once Seeds goes back to the LTI list.
We can't - we need Seeds' senior list position for the draft. They traded for pick 46, they can't use it if Seeds is still on the senior list.

Got to be an absolute kick in the teeth for Crouch.
He thinks he’s an AFL gun mid, but absolutely no one wants him. At all. Even for free.
Nobody wanted him 12 months ago either, when he dipped his toe in the Free Agency waters - and didn't even get a nibble.

Back then it was explained away as being due to uncertainty relating to him having missed the previous 12 months due to injury. Nope... the market for glacially slow accumulators with zero hurt factor has just plain evaporated in the last few years.

Or, conspiracy theory i know, the club actually wants him for next year and has not shopped him
It means Crouch has a pre-season to change his playing style ....or he definitely knows 2023 is his last year of AFL footy

Desperation can bring on change .....but his game appears too cemented

Not like any of us on here didnt know this, but this article is still worrying. To my mind, we should just forget these days about recruiting from Vic Metro...which basically means we lose access to a population of what, 4.5-5m people? Also, Crows aside, what would be so friggin bad about living in Sydney or on the Gold Coast? Players are hardly being moved to Horsham!

mccartney said on trade radio that they basically work from a different draft board. i would assume no interstate clubs is too interested in the vic metro boys anymore, as you seemingly get 2 years out of them and then off they go. dont think clubs will be too quick get geelong boys either after this ollie henry nonsense

I'd extrapolate that more to the Sandringham Dragons and Oakleigh Chargers where all the top end talent arePrivate Schoolboys, lesser of a problem especially with lads from the Calder Cannons, Eastern Ranges and the Northern Knights and somewhat with the Dandenong Stingrays. Geelong Falcons are becoming a real worry too with so many being "enticed" by the Cats.

The fact we can't sell our club to potential targets other than SA boys means we have some seriously woeful salesman out there. Players are choosing to go to a club that is about to go into a mid range rebuild over a club with established youth but need some experienced talent. if this doesn't send alarm bells through the board I don't know what does. You can't tell me our football department is satisfied with the Rankine deal because to most people, thats nothing special as he wanted home and Port never really made a play for him.

Getting Rankine is nothing special?

You serious?

Who would you have like to have targeted?

Wow. Getting Rankine is pretty special.

Kind of amazing how quickly the whole league has reduced the value of players like Crouch.

If nobody takes him as an unrestricted free agent, will we delist him?

I would still think he is good enough to be on AFL list.
Defensive pressure is all the rage. It's easy to find players that don't win quite as much ball but can at least defend.

The AFL isn't interested in the one way player any more unless they're elite offensively
