Seeds should retire.
There's nothing more obvious. Should do it now. He's another future contender for "footy ****ed up my brain" and suing the AFL and Crows in later life.
Why hasn't the club committed to Keeler through our academy picks? Looks likely to be early second round?

I'm a bit surprised - this is exactly what I hoped would happen and what seemed like the smartest route. The stickied post tells all .....we have room for 2 x Main spots .....or 1 x main spot and 1 x rookie
Embrace the warmthI'm a bit surprised - this is exactly what I hoped would happen and what seemed like the smartest route.
What a strange feeling
2 seems most likely , I predict it will be Barnett ( after missing out on Phillipou) and a rookie (+ Michaelanny ) to round out our listHere's one way to look at the list changes. We finished 2022 with 37 senior, 5 Cat A rookies, two Cat B plus Turner who was an additional player with Seeds on the LTI list.
The Cat B list is unchanged - Borlase and Newchurch.
The main list has deleted Frampton, Rowe and Brown (traded/delisted/retired); Seeds and McPherson ('benched'). Rankine, Strachan and Butts have been added, leaving us 35 confirmed main list players. We can have up to 38.
The rookie list has deleted Davis, Strachan and Butts, leaving Parnell and Murray.
Turner has been delisted.
MM will almost certainly be added to the main list, giving us the minimum 36 seniors.
If Seeds and McPherson are re-rookied as committed, we are up to 36 + 4 Cat A + 2 Cat B.
So there are 2 remaining spots that could be filled as senior or rookie players. A third spot could possibly be created if Seeds is put back on the LTI list.
Will be interesting to see if we use one of those spots for a rookie we rate that slides through, or if we end up re-drafting Turner2 seems most likely , I predict it will be Barnett ( after missing out on Phillipou) and a rookie (+ Michaelanny ) to round out our list
I'd like to see Turner get a full season, as a Rookie .....still better than DavisWill be interesting to see if we use one of those spots for a rookie we rate that slides through, or if we end up re-drafting Turner
And better than both seeds and moose as a rookie optionI'd like to see Turner get a full season, as a Rookie .....still better than Davis
I thought we could only bring in 2 players in total?2 seems most likely , I predict it will be Barnett ( after missing out on Phillipou) and a rookie (+ Michaelanny ) to round out our list
Yes, though the replacement needs to come via the PSSP or MSD, not the RD.Anyone know if rookie listed players (like Seedsman will be) can be placed on the long-term injury list so we can replace him with Turner?
I dare say this would be the Crows plan for Seedsman. Re-rookie him then place him on the LTI and pick up a DFA/Undrafted player through the PSSP. It makes sense to give the Crows maximum flexibility whilst also honouring the contracts. The Crows could also let go of McPherson in the New Year and payout his contract if they need to open up another PSSP/MSD rookie position. From my count there are 8 - 12 players that will potentially be exited from the Crows next year. It makes sense to bring in a couple of DFA's or rucks that need time to develop through the PSSP process. From a raw ruck perspective I really like the look of Max Knobel who will take 4-5 years to develop, but is athletic, can ruck and is 207cm tall and still growing (Potentially a young version of Max Gawn). I also still really like the look of Caleb Poulter and Riley Collier-Dawkins as those tall powerful goal-kicking midfielders with some speed.Yes, though the replacement needs to come via the PSSP or MSD, not the RD.

Roweys salty because jimmy got cut. Thinks it's evidence that they don't know what they're doingHeard Rowie on AA tonight - on the news about Butts, Strachan, McPherson and Seed he said he "doesn't understand what they're doing with the list"FFS Rowie, all you have to do is read this thread! It's not like anyone here gets PAID to understand these things...
I doubt Seeds goes on the long term industry list, we are talking March before games start. If he’s still not in a position where he can play then, he should have retired.I dare say this would be the Crows plan for Seedsman. He should retire and get everything he is owed in his contract. Best for both partiesNot obvious at all. Very far from it. Retiring will potentially limit his claim to his current contract entitlements, and if this is his last contract he should make sure he gets full value
The question of playing is a separate matter
Yes, but we may not have enough room left in the 2022 salary cap to pay him out now. Don't forget that we're already paying out the last year of Brown's contract. He should retire and get everything he is owed in his contract. Best for both parties
Depends on Seedsman … could just be the 2 from the main draft ( likely Michaelanny/ Barnett )I thought we could only bring in 2 players in total?
Seems a fait accompli, Seedsman will not be playing for the Crows again ......a shame, but his health is way more important![]()

Yes, just managing his exit. As usual in these cases we will not every detail but the big picture is clear enough. That sounds like he's done
