Not earning a penny ??After not earning a penny of his 5 year contract, maybe do the right thing for once?
Panthers? West Coast rookie from Tasmania? We should be banging on Mitch O'Neill's door right now...Ideal Rory Sloane replacement and another player that is a very good kick.
I’m not expecting him to walk away with no $$, clearly we would pay him some of his contract but we could also employ him in a development role. If he plays on next year we need to make it clear to him he’s playing sanfl, because to bring a 33 year old back half way through the year, who was already slowing down, during a rebuild would be beyond dumb. And we need the list spot, the cap not so much. Why should he ??
What's the bet he's automatically selected the moment he's fit to play?I’m not expecting him to walk away with no $$, clearly we would pay him some of his contract but we could also employ him in a development role. Not earning a penny ??
Hmmmm yeah I'll leave this one alone.
Hmmmm I'd be a little surprised. What's the bet he's automatically selected the moment he's fit to play?
I like McPherson and don’t think we’d get much for himMcPherson should be traded.
More the list spot I guess.I like McPherson and don’t think we’d get much for him
Don’t think we would. He’s already out of the midfield, in a years time we our team we should have developed further, what are we going to do, drop one of the players close to 50 games for Sloane? If we did, Nicks should resign. What's the bet he's automatically selected the moment he's fit to play?
Assuming he comes back from injury well, you don’t trade a player who has a future so you can keep a bloke for 10 games.More the list spot I guess.
I'd trade him if Hamill continues to return to form. We aren't exactly flushed with lockdown smalls.
TBH he's likely to be fit for R1I actually reckon he'll push for round 1 2023 and make it, playing all 22 games
I think they see both Moose and Hamill as having a future.Assuming he comes back from injury well, you don’t trade a player who has a future so you can keep a bloke for 10 games.
Ankle and then the soft tissue injuries that followed when he made a comeback.Panthers? West Coast rookie from Tasmania?
I see he made AA 2018/2019 and also did a knee ( reason he slipped)
Averaging 33 disposals at 75% for 2022 at Souths
I don't know him. What's attractive about him?We should be banging on Mitch O'Neill's door right now...Ideal Rory Sloane replacement and another player that is a very good kick.
Mid season draft?Ankle and then the soft tissue injuries that followed when he made a comeback.
Yep, he was really highly rated in his draft year before a very serious ankle injury that it was thought may rule him out of ever playing football again let alone AFL.
Went undrafted after being spoken of as Round 1 prospect leading into his draft year with West Coast throwing him a lifeline through the rookie draft.
Never had any opportunity to play for even their reserves with no WAFL reserves footy due to Covid eventually delisted at the year's end.
Had an up and down year last year for the Panthers battling soft tissue/hamstring issues but lighting it up now after a good pre-season and finally match fit.
To be honest I rated him higher than Dylan Stephens prior to his ankle injury, very similar game style to Stephens.
I think Moose is in the process of being overtaken. His lack of pace is an issue against decent small forwards and we've got better users playing the rebounding roles.I think they see both Moose and Hamill as having a future.
You suggesting player swap? Or just some draft capital?I wonder if Himmelberg were to retain even a semblance of his current form for the remainder of the season whether we’d consider cashing in on him with a trade whilst his value is high?
I see him as fundamentally the same role as Thilthorpe and hence somewhat redundant in the medium term whilst Gold Coast has (at least) three players we’d be interested in (Lukosius, Rankine, Hollands).
Ehh, I’d rather just roll with a three-pronged tall forward lineup of RT, EH and Gollant, and see if that works. RT’s mobile enough to play further up the ground if neededI wonder if Himmelberg were to retain even a semblance of his current form for the remainder of the season whether we’d consider cashing in on him with a trade whilst his value is high?

Was Nankervis on a 1 or two year deal when we drafted him ?I believe it’s only one, considering we decided to take Nankervis in the PSD (for the main list) instead of the rookie draft
We currently have 37 + 7 rookies, I believe (Murray, Parnell, Butts, Newchurch, Borlase, Strachan, Davis). That’ll need to be shrunk to 6 at year’s end if things go back to normal - that’ll be helped by the requirement to elevate both Butts and Strachan
Back then our salary cap was maxed out. Not the case any longer.Back when we had Keath/Greenwood as cat B players, we still opted to go with 44 players on the list (38 + 4 + 2)
Now our philosophy might have changed considering our rebuild, but that’s the precedent
He wasn't taken in the rookie draft so he's on a 2 year contract. Was Nankervis on a 1 or two year deal when we drafted him ?
Why would we have interest in Hollands in particular who just a month or 2 ago signed a 2 year extension that takes him to the end of 2024?I wonder if Himmelberg were to retain even a semblance of his current form for the remainder of the season whether we’d consider cashing in on him with a trade whilst his value is high?
