Why would we have interest in Hollands in particular who just a month or 2 ago signed a 2 year extension that takes him to the end of 2024?

The other 2 are contracted to the end of 2022 I think so will be out of contract.

Yeah surprised he hasn't knocked down the door to get in GC Suns team this year so far , as saw him as real special talent and was always hopeful we could one day get due to Adelaide links .
Mind you we got someone special this year very similar .
Bicks how is his brother going and where will he end up in draft at this stage do you think.

A lot of players being mentioned as trade outs over the past few pages, I doubt any of them would find another AFL home as a trade. Almost every player mentioned won't make the grade and are just delists - unfortunately :-(

He’s not delivered at 100 cents on the dollar at any point.

He demanded and got an above market contract from us, exploiting supporter exodus fears and when the market for him fell away due to injury & an inability to play through a tag, proceeded to serially underperform in a massive way throughout

Might be more interest in Darcy then we thought. Probably wouldn't be the worst career decision for Darcy. Seems to have fallen a long way back in the pecking order at the AFC. And I don't think Tex is hanging them up anytime soon, not with the way he's playing!

There's no probably about it. I'd be signing the transfer papers, then escorting them to the AFL trade desk to make sure the paperwork is lodged before they recover from their short-term bout of insanity.

He is contracted so that helps. I'm torn on him still. Only 22 but definitely has some work to do.

I know, but I've always had a soft spot for him and was hoping one day we would see him come anywhere close to his potential.

You'd think that anyone playing reserves in a bottom team would be easily gettable

The more interesting point is not that he's 'potentially gettable', its that according to Bernie, teams still potentially still have interest in getting FOG.

I feared he might have played himself out of interest from other clubs, and was gonna have a very hard time changing their opinion of that this season.

If there's interest in players like Jeremy Finlayson and Jarrod Brander, I'd be surprised if there wouldn't be interest in Darcy Fogarty

As for actually getting any value in a trade, I don't think we'd get much

Melb don't put up with lazy players. I don't think they would go near him. Collingwood or Gws might look at him.

What will help him be the quality lead up forward that he had the talent to be, is staying away from the pies each preseason and actually building a fitness base.

We should be banging on Mitch O'Neill's door right now...Ideal Rory Sloane replacement and another player that is a very good kick.

Sloane will still be on the list next year.

Failing that draft elite mid talents over the coming drafts, and look to trade in proven midfield talent.

Mitch O'Neill was very close to an elite talent before the serious ankle injury and now his injury woes appear to be behind him he has to be an option for any AFL team looking at a mature age prospect. He's exactly the kind of speedy skilful outside mid we lack.

Can you honestly say you've seen Mitch O'Neill play because he's not at all like Rory Sloane playing wise, it was in relation to the list spot Sloane opens up if he goes on the LTI list.
