Anyone hear Roo and Ditts this morning, reckon Tex has a 2 year offer on the table for a contending club.

Any guesses who? Maybe the Saints?
It's probably bullshit fabricated by his manager aimed at duping us into giving him a two year deal.

It was narrowed down to one of Melbourne, Brisbane, St Kilda, Carlton, Geelong, Sydney or Freo. Geelong have hawkins and Cameron so probably not them, I don't think it's Carlton either.
Freo

Excerpts from a Paul Amy article in September 2020.

Sandringham Dragons leftie Lachie Carrigan invited to AFL’s draft combine
The 17-year-old has shot up in height in the past two years — and with his left-foot kicking and elite running ability he’s also risen in the rankings of AFL recruiters.
He wanted to consistently be in the best players, not talent official Kevin Sheehan alerting him to his selection.

“I slept pretty well after that,’’ he said.

But the draft hopeful with pace and a piercing left-foot did his share of tossing and turning this year as he watched the pandemic delay and then dash the season.

“Yeah, it was frustrating for everyone,’’ Carrigan said.

“We all wanted to play but couldn’t get to the games to prove ourselves. We’d done the work. I was the fittest I’d ever been, felt really good. Then it was all waiting. Early in 2018 he was 168cm. But he was starting to get noticed for his left foot and his running ability.

He’s shot up to 190cm and 76kg, and last year he pushed up for five games with the Dragons while the youngest player on their list.

“His kicking skills and some of the stuff he did was pretty special,’’ coach Josh Bourke fizzed after Carrigan’s second game. “He’s got promise. He’s a very good kick of the footy and a good runner.’’
Like Carrigan for his upside and fits the profile in what we need more of .

Nah.. I think we can do two years for Tex.. or one with some easy triggers for a second..
I'm happy to give him one with triggers.
Has anyone seen our key forward stocks?
Fogarty, Himmelburg and Frampton are either duds or not going to be key forwards.
Thilthorpe is in his second year and doesn't play like a strong marking type (yet).

That's it.

Love Tex but Id let him go. Last 2 years he's started the year on fire but his forms already starting to wane even after missing the start of the season

I don't think it's him as much as it's the team.

Honestly would love to see him win a flag and it won't be here. If he goes I'd be hoping fans can get traded too as there isn't much else worth hanging around here for presently.

Cant really see Tex pulling up all his roots and making himself and his wife and their very young family move interstate all just to get in one more year of footy.. considering the crows will almost definately give him a contract for next year and will definitely look at another if his form and fitness deserves it..

It would just be stupid.

Hawkins is a year older and is going to play again next year at least. There's no reason we shouldn't be giving him 2 years based on current performances.
Yet Tex can only play 4-5 weeks at a time before he clearly needs a break.

1 year deals only. If he wants to leave and play elsewhere, that's on him. Good luck. Good bye. The 1 extra year playing for St. Kilda (or other) would cost him a lot of opportunities here in Adelaide though.

Part of that would be playing in a poor side.

Tex has to work harder for what he gets.
