Ramsden was available, I wonder if this will be a regretThis 100%. Should have gone a ruckman
I like the sound of this guy. Then delist or trade berg or Frampton at years end.
7. Gold Coast – Max Ramsden (Sandringham Dragons)
Ruckman/Forward, 202cm, 86kg
Chris says: Ramsden is still quite raw and is considered a long-term project player by recruiters, but is an athletic freak who has some X-factor about him and shapes as an exciting future prospect. The 19-year-old has averaged 14.3 disposals, 17.5 hitouts and 6.7 score involvements from six NAB League games for the Dragons this season and the Suns would be looking for a future No.1 ruckman beyond Jarrod Witts, who turns 30 this year.
Or this guy
15. Fremantle – Wade Derksen (Peel Thunder)
Forward, 195cm, 90kg
Chris says: There have been a few clubs with interest in Derksen, but the Dockers will be hoping he falls to them. Fremantle invited Derksen to train with them during pre-season, but that request was denied and he has instead been left to play for the Dockers’ WAFL affiliate Peel Thunder. From three senior WAFL matches, the 20-year-old key forward has averaged 15.7 disposals, 4.7 marks and 2.3 goals. He starred with 22 disposals, nine score involvements and four goals against West Coast in Round 3.
Did you miss us passing on our 2nd pick?
We don't have a cap issue & lack talent on our list.
Yet, you think this ok... well i don't as it's a missed opportunity!

Wasn't it reported that he told clubs he did not want to move interstate?Ramsden was available, I wonder if this will be a regret

Your a bit of a draft guru Skippos , interested to hear who you would have picked. You can only laugh. A rebuilding club selecting a 25 year old mid who probably doesn't get drafted elsewhere for the short term sugar hit to keep them all looking slightly better in their jobs with no real regard for the long term, while a couple of ok long term prospects (inc a pretty reasonable ruck!) sit on the draft board.
Embarrassing. But should not have been surprised. Avoiding the bottom is more important to this club than reaching the top.
Thought it was the opposite and was happy to move interstateWasn't it reported that he told clubs he did not want to move interstate?
Oh dear…Whatever happens, just don’t select Turner at 4 and pass at 19
Obviously at our second pick there was no one worthy which I’m fine about. A lot of other clubs passed as well. But we needed to do better with pick 4Oh dear…

Sloane's, by definition.Whose spot is he taking?
Well I was commenting on the passing of the 2nd pick & you replied to my post... yet now you are agreeing with me that it made little sense lol.I wasn’t commenting on the pick, I was commenting on the redirected anger.
I don’t get why we didn’t use our second pick, makes little sense to me.
I’m not blowing a gasket over it though.
HardlyNo !
You always have to ask why the MSD players were not selected in the National Draft .....in Turners case, he's played 65 games at West Adelaide .....so the 4 games he has played this year must have been real head turners .....a purple patch of form, or his new norm ??

2021 SANFL Post Season Top 50 - 11-30 - SANFL

19 - Brett Turner (Glenelg)
Recruited from West Adelaide, Turner rewarded his new team with an exceptional campaign as a big-bodied midfielder. Runner-up in Glenelg’s best-and-fairest, Turner also earned a spot in The Advertiser SANFL Team of the Year while ranking first in the competition for inside 50s, fourth for clearances, seventh in disposals and third in tackles.
And I’m telling Marty to come back so we can all give him an apology as he was bloody right all along
No, he was still wrong most of the time... & we don't miss his repetitive spam. And I’m telling Marty to come back so we can all give him an apology as he was bloody right all along
He questioned our drafting, he went hard on Doedee because he really wanted Burton. Doedee is a good player but so is Burton. He had other examples like over looking Graham. He went on about relying on Tex because we didn’t have any forwards and he was right there too. Pretty sure he bagged the Jones and McHenry selections at the time too for being short people. Funnily enough he hasn’t been around to see us draft more smalls. Was the list so bad at the time he said it was? We did throw away a lot of good players since
But yeah, as a general direction of travel thing we probably do owe him an apology.
