Alex Pearce and Sam Sturt from Fremantle would fit immediate needs.

I'd have open checkbooks for Luke Jackson and Bailey Smith

Josh Dunkley is at the top of my list.

Was always a huge fan of Parfitt from Geelong , but I don't know whether he's more of the same of what we have in the midfield.

Caleb Poulter was doing great in his first season, anyone know the reason for the drop off in form?

Is Aaron Francis even going to be given a new contract by Bombers? He'd be a huge risk/reward type player, but wonder if Darren Burgess could work his magic on him (or any other player with fitness issues)

Luke Edwards looked classy for the Eagles before injury, or has the ship sailed?

Will Gould is apparently doing very well in the Swans ressies and is progressing.

Tim Taranto definitely, but is an almost like-for-like with Dunkley

Liam Baker would be huge but if he was to leave Tiges would be to WA for sure

Toby Bedford from Melbourne has looked electric, and is a Halls Creek product same as Shane McAdam. Melbourne are definitely giving him game time, so they obviously rate him.

It’s not even vaguely correct

It’s complete invention. Keath regularly held down a key defensive post when matchups called on it

Where did this idea come from?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I am not suggesting he didn’t. I said we let him go (all 200cm of him) and Doedee has now played as our second KPD a number of times over the past couple of years. And that is an unmitigated disaster
Keeping Keath would have assisted a lot in rebuilding our backline - as it is we need to target a 100 game plus key defender if we wish to progress up the ladder sooner rather than later

Look, that’s pretty wildly untrue

You've not been doing your best work recently. Your stubborness around Rankine seems silly now. Equally - every game Keath played in 2019 was with Talia (22 games) and Hartigan (19 games) also in the line up.

We all remember how well Keath stepped into the role of third defensive tall. But he was always more about uncontested ball with us, or interceptions. He rarely played a true KPD role.

The idea that Doedee was/is some kind of Alex Keath equivalent/replacement is proper psychedelic

He played Doedee's role when Doedee was injured.

At the same time Talia played Talia's role and Hartigan played Hartigan's.

So I think the Doedee equivalence is pretty clear.

What is an example of Keath playing as a key defensive tall at the same time as Talia and Hartigan? Which team has three tall forwards that necessitated that?

Look - especially knowing what happened with Talia, we probably should have kept Keath. I think that's fair enough.

Is Gould an equal too or upgrade on Worrell, if Worrell does leave for more opportunities Gould would be a good replacement with excellent penetration with his kicking.
Poulter on a wing with his size and range would be a good long term prospect once he bulks up a bit more and seems to be very much in the Embley mould.
Both seem out of favour at there respective clubs and shouldn’t cost a huge amount to get.
Also Considering the debacle north are currently and our lack of a young ruckman is it worth Knocking on CCJ’s door again to see what the situation is with north as he’s a shell of the player he was at Richmond this year and seems behind Xerri, yet still putting up good numbers in the VFL.

Rankine clear number 1
Dunkley
Taranto
Bruhn
McGrath
Alex Pearce
Griffin Logue

I would add Narkle in that mix too. Cheaper and I reckon has a decent ceiling

Gould's a chance to be delisted .....and B4 you chase him, ask why he's out of favour

Paddy McCartin has leapfrogged Gould

1. Rankine :crown:
2. Bruhn :crown:

Both these players will be absolute stars .....Bruhn has been fantastic to watch his development, as a starting mid this year ....in a GWS side full of Mids

3. Taranto
4. Dunkley

5. McGrath .....wouldn't chase in a fit, adds nothing to this Crows list

Huh?
McCartin and Gould are very different players, only similarity is they both now play in the same part of the ground.

So who does Gould replace ? .....Tom McCartin, Rampe, Blakey ? .....SYD simply don't need another 190cm + DEF in that current backline

Therefore, Paddy McCartin coming in, has eliminated the need for another 191cm player .....him, and Blakey going back into DEF

Well it most certainly won't be Paddy McCartin.
How old is Dane Rampe, seems like he's been around forever.

32 YO

Would have thought, with the end nearing for Rampe, SYD would be blooding Gould in preparation ......IMO he's probably a delist

Getting the same vibe with Worrell .....hardly gets a mention by the club

Worrell is an interesting one. Not sure what else he can show in the lower leagues but I'm also not quite sure what his fit is in the AFL.

Yes Rampe is 32 and has already been on a downhill trajectory in terms of his performances.

You would think Gould is an appropriate replacement.

What I don't get is why he's not been afforded AFL opportunities in defence or why if he can't break into the AFL in defence why similar to McAsey he hasn't been at least given a shot up forward in the SANFL to see what he's got.

Surely they are aware of his Vic Metro performances up forward at the 2019 National U18 Championships where he was moved Forward and ended up VM's leading goalkicker for the Carnival. I'd personally give him a shot on the wing in the SANFL where he can utilise his run and flair.

This is also how I feel .....I haven't watched a lot of Worrell's games, the games I have seen, he's been largely a ghost player

Given we have 3 players to delist (min) ...more, if we trade ...some tough calls are going to be made:

Frampton :crossmark:......has large portions of games, where he simply does not compete ....no 2nd efforts
Crouch :crossmark:.........strong odds he'll be traded
Worrell :crossmark: ........."may" be re-rookied
Murphy / Rowe ...one, I feel will be delisted / traded

Brown ❔..........will he contemplate retirement at 29 YO ?
Seedsman ❔ ....will he retire ?

Borlaise :crossmark: - Delisted
Davis :crossmark:- Delisted
