Danger is comfortably the best inside ball winner I've seen. His ability to enter a contest heading for a ball up and come out free with ball in hand is second to none.... JhF is the closest thing to Danger since.. Danger.
Not sure how you could on one hand say Izak has X factor, JHF hasnt, and then say Danger has it and JHF doesn't.
Money is a big part for any player. I wouldn't be against taking Rioli as long as he's on no more than 450-500k. It would also have the added bonus of pissing off Powaa. Depends where they see Rankine or Rachele playing. If it's midfield then Rioli would be good up forward. I've always rated him at West coast and wished the crows took him when he was here in the SANFL.Doubt his contract would sit well if it sounds like good $ (didn’t he confirm money was a big part of his decision) with no/minimal behavioral clauses
I suspect that both players will split their time between midfield and the forward line. It should be excitingWhy would we chase Rankine after Drafting Rachelle .....if both were going to be small fwds .....that's a lot of Draft Capital in 2 years
Rankine a dead cert to play midfield, tear opposition mids a new one .....and free up teammates, not to mention, he'll be the best FWD 50 deliverer in our team
I don't see our midfield as poor ....it seems to be getting defined by the absense of a big bodied mid ......but did RICH win flags with a big bodied mid ??
It's what he does with it after he gets it that's the problem. If he could kick he would be up there with the greats of the game.Danger is comfortably the best inside ball winner I've seen. His ability to enter a contest heading for a ball up and come out free with ball in hand is second to none.

They also have Rioli to pay for, so that compo pick doesn't really add any net value. WC might want more than that as well.Port have the Amon compensation pick which gives them a better draft hand, unless there’s someone really specific that North want who is likely to be there at 6, who won’t be there at 9, I don’t see North preferring a deal we could put up.
Not for mine have seen him play a bitYou reckon he’d be a good fit for us?
Comparing two different players lolI'm more intrigued by how he played 2021 as a 23 year old and 2022 as a 22 year old
Why, he's right, it's definitely a scattergun approach by Powa, 1st it was Dunkley, then Rioli, when Dunkley gave them the ass they moved on to Jack Graham, then when JHF became available late in the piece Jack Graham got the ass....then a few clubs start inquiring about Ratugolea so Powa decide yeah let's have a go for him too. Maybe another player pops up as available in the last few days of trade week so no doubt Powa will be keen there too.Was actually surprised by that analysis by Rooch.
you forgot about junior rioli tooWhy, he's right, it's definitely a scattergun approach by Powa, 1st it was Dunkley, then Rioli, when Dunkley gave them the ass they moved on to Jack Graham, then when JHF became available late in the piece Jack Graham got the ass....then a few clubs start inquiring about Ratugolea so Powa decide yeah let's have a go for him too. oops sorryLook again...

The Pear are desperateWhile I complain about our approach at least we target players and lock them in
As noted it seems Ports recruiting dept are sitting back until August then ringing managers
That gives the impression of scattered
I know he's right, that's why I didn't expect it from him. Looks like he covers horse racing for SEN.Who is Miles Pfitzner as he is clueless when even Rooch is making more sense.
Port are struggling to land all 3 players & will need to give up a decent player to make it happen as don't have the draft capital.
I doubt they will land all 3 players whilst I'm confident we will land Rankine.
We clearly have planned from a long way out.
