nah I don't think there's a limit. There's only a limit to how many times you can trade out of the first round. But melbourne has been trading back into the first round every year so I believe we can do it indefinitely.

There’s no limit to what Melbourne are doing.

In regards to what you are talking about, there is a requirement for all teams to make a minimum of 2 first round picks in a rolling 4 year cycle.

So, Melbourne can keep doing what they are doing, as long as they can find trade partners.

    7. Hawthorn: Jhye Clark: (Hawks are last in clearances so they get a clearance machine in clark who will partner with Ward in the future)
    8. Port Adelaide: Mattaes Phillipou: (Phillipou is from south australia and is different to their current mids due to his height and marking ability)
    9. St Kilda: Jedd Busslinger: (Saints are near the bottom in intercepts and only have Howard as a genuine key defender as battle and wilkie are 3rd man up type players)
    10. Gold Coast: Oliver Hollands: (The suns are last in uncontested possessions and disposal efficiency and Hollands is a quick ball winner that is classy with ball in hand. He will partner with his brother, Anderson, and Rowell which could become a the best midfield in a few years. this is also part of their plan to keep Elijah)
    11. Western Bulldogs: Aaron Cadman: (The dogs add another Aaron to the team who can allow Naughton to play higher up the ground as well as jamarra. Cadman is a big bear forward that can clunk pack marks and is different to the lead up forwards the dogs have)
    12. Richmond: Cameron Mckenzie: (Richmond are near last in contested possessions, clearances and tackles so they get the best available midfielder if they don’t trade this pick away for tim Taranto)
    13. Sydney: Isaac Keeler: (Swans need an athletic forward to partner with Logan Macdonald in the future as franklin is coming to the end)

    16. Fremantle: Jackson Broadbent: (Like carlton, freo doesn’t have an obvious struggle in a particular stat so should just go best available here. If freo don’t get luke Jackson then they should pick up Broadbent who can be the athletic ruck which will allow darcy to rotate forward. this pick could be at the dees in a luke Jackson deal)
    17. Essendon: Alwyn Davey (The swans struggle with uncontested possessions and need a classy ball user in a midfield full of bulls like warner, sheldrick, mills and parker. Therefore the swans bid on Alwyn davey)
    18. Sydney: Lachlan Cowan: (Basically the Jordan Dawson replacement. Cowan wins the ball on the outside and can push up to a wing where he can thump the ball into the forward line to Keeler and Macdonald which could make the swans a very high scoring team)
    19. Geelong: Mitch Szybowski (The cats are another team that don’t struggle in any particular stat. they are in need of a joel Selwood replacement so they take szybowski who is a similar player to Selwood as they are both hard working and tough mids)
    20. Richmond: Kobe Ryan: (Richmond would have loved to get their hands on szybowski but will have to settle on Ryan who is a very tough midfielder that will make a good trio with Mackenzie and Bolton in future years)
    21. West Coast: Henry Huswaite: (The eagles just need to take the best available mid so will take Hustwaite who is a clearance machine. Hustwaite will combine well with Wardlaw as he adds height to their midfield which will propel the Eagles clearance and contested possession ability.

    Love it from our end. Tsatsas and lemmey. The only tweak to your thinking is that essendon will be above adelaide if your take on this weeks games plays out but i doubt it makes any real difference to the picks you chose

    Yeah Adelaide get a great Haul. Yeah i didnt take percentages into consideration but that will likely happen if the pies thump the crows.

    Had he performed in the national championships, he might have been a chance to go this early, but certainly not now.

    I think that GWS would look at Phillipou (especially if Taranto leaves), Cadman or perhaps even Mackenzie.

    Yeah it won't happen but he has the potential to go that high if he starts playing like he did a few weeks ago towards the end of the season.

    Not sure if saints go intercept defender. Got Coffeild to come back next year and one from last years draft who was looking good in the twos before he got hurt. It will either be Mackenzie or a key forward. Seeing how well the ngas from last year slotted into our system I think we would be mad to go past him

    Yep too scarred to go early on a key defender after McAsey … I also actually think our defence is stronger than some give credit for , our mids and small forwards not good at all

    I reckon we will have pick 3 which will end up pick 4 after Lions jump us to match Ashcroft

    The interesting one would be Sheezel , on talent we’d take him but the go home factor likely too great

Port Adelaide: Jakob Ryan: (The power would have snapped up D’Aloia if the hawks didn’t but Ryan is a tough half back who will create a really nice half back line with Byrne-Jones, Houston and Burton.     I know that but we did take Oscar Adams last year who is 197 and was looking really good in that roll in the two before he hurt his back. I could be wrong but our midfield need a bit more class. When Steele went down we could really notice it

    Adams wont be the intercept marker we need, more a stopper. Busslinger would be perfect if available and not a flight risk.

    I reckon we need a classy mid. Apart from Steele all our mods butcher the ball out of clearance. We did address that in nas last year but still unclear if he will play in the guts or stay on the wing
