Rowell/Curnow vs Weller/any rookie up to $210k

Keep swapping these around. Not sure Curnow is a must have. Could be a good anti-POD.
Curnow will be some weeks.
Peaks and troughs like every other KPF.
He can put out big hundreds is the thing.
2 in a row and he is 400k quickly.

I remember reading Moreira’s Magic handbook a few years back and he spoke about taking 1-2 risks and avoiding a popular player and hope they start slow.

I did this with Heeney a few years back and worked a treat. Thinking of doing the same with Dunkley.

I'm not convinced with Rowell or Weller but I can see your attraction.
If I had to I would go Rowell/Curnow 100% locks to play Round 1 and both can score well plus money to be made

Yeah he'll be boom or bust. Needs to boom early if he's to be worth it though, won't matter if he comes good late in the season as everyone will have traded him.

Need him to start like in 2018. That would get him to $367k. Is that enough? Probably, he's only done back to back tonnes twice though.

Yeah not set 100% on either. It's all just shits n giggles at this stage waiting for the preseason games.

If the unnamed rook is $124k I have $500k to spend up forward.

All games were loses as well imagine if they can win a couple of games.

Yeah of the super popular players Dunkley might not be a bad one to miss.

The advantage of starting Dunkley is if he does get injured early in the year you can literally pick any forward you want because he is the most expensive. Also just like last year with DPP you can trade him to a SP mid as well.

Yeah true, he's the only high priced forward I really like, would be someone like De Poey at F1 if I don't pick Dunkley.

Carlton need to stop playing Richmond round 1, getting smashed in your first game every year must be a little deflating.
There was a period there where the games were actually decent to watch, some really good battles, some huge crowds, a lot of hype and hysteria, then this happened.

This is going to do my head in right up until Rd1

2 of

De Goey v Tarryn v Heeney v Butters
Degoey and butters for me, I think some may have forgotten about butters huge ceiling. Scored 163 in round 2 and was about 110 at halftime against the tigers in round 4, I think if he gets a good run at it could easily go 100+ season comfortably

Last 2 years, more MPM ....had my best years as a GnR side .....so back to that

Reason I'm going heavy in the MID's .....if I lose a SP Mid to Covid / concussion ....I can still scrape thru

If I'm running 3 or 4 MID setup ....surely losing one of your SP's in that situation is much more difficult
I’m also running 5 premo mids, have always mostly gone guns and rookies and last year even with the crappy rookie scores both forward and back I ended up ranked 220 odd for the year and that was without Walsh and hall for the entire year

buttox team today went with the best 2 possible selections on each line and then filled in the gaps. I had my best year for a while with this approach last year. GnR all the way 😍

Yep I love guns and rookies, my current first 2 players on each line are Lloyd hall, macrae Steele, Gawn Grundy and Dunkley butters
