I don't think that's what they call it in the VFL is it?
Does he have a good back story about how he ****ed up off field several times, got sacked and then came back to AFL in a heroic way? I saw a Tweet from Channel 7 asking if Stengle’s story is up there with Docherty or McCartin for story of the season… yeah, they are totally alike if you just remove the partying and getting pulled over by cops on Hindley Street

Keen to see how Frampton goes at Collingwood. Looks right at home at reserves level so I wonder if they can get him up to AFL standard. Third try is the charm?
Honestly can't decide if we made a mistake not putting more games into him or not.

So lethargic as a 1 on 1 defender but has the potential to intercept and a real weapon by foot going the other way. Best of luck to him at Collingwood or whoever else he may go to. Might be at his peak in the seconds and just not up to it at AFL standard, defensively it appears that way but if a team can shield him from that a bit, he'll be decent imo.

He's shown such steep and quick improvement as a key defender over - what? - 25 games? I think they're getting a good value piece.

We need to improve on Rob, but only by improving with younger players and targeting folks who can work with Thilthorpe.

Rucks are the most overrated position on the ground. Match someone with Filthy who also works as another mid/forward.

In the meantime, Rob is fine. There's maybe six to eight genuinely good rucks in the comp and the rest are Rob's level or worse. His kicking looks terrible but mostly does what it needs.

I guess having him in our top 3 paid players speaks to you view about ruckmen too? Strachan on $250k is identical enough to ROB who’s on about $700k. Great list management is that.

Funny thing there is ROB is averaging 11 hit outs to advantage in 2022, Gawn 8.8.

In actual fact only Jarrod Witts and Braydon Preuss surpass him with 13 and 11.4 Hit outs to advantage/game.

Got the stat for average ruck contests competed per game. Then the picture will be filled, whichever way it lands.

Can I suggest next time you have a true legit rumour, you don’t divulge your source.

Makes it more believable.

And if it’s true, I’m sure [redacted] would love his name being plastered here in a public forum.

I'm assuming if we haven't offered Frampton a contract then Collingwood just pick him up for nothing as a desisted free agent?

When you take into context we are a high stoppage team ROB numbers become below average.
He ranks around 10th for HTA%.

Take score involvements, marks, tackles and he's been very meh.

But all Collingwood have to do is wait don't they? If AFC have told Billy and/or his manager we aren't offering a new contract, it's not like he wouldn't tell Collingwood that
Correct. I think the only difference it makes is whether delisted free agents end up missing the start of preseason due to timing issues. Thus why sometimes a throwaway pick is done in a trade during trade period. This way the player can start preseason on time.

That’s extremely sad for Rankine, but great news for the crows.

This cuts his value in half. Pick 25 we hand over the the Gold Coast. A degenerative hip injury, and now undisclosed behavior issues should see a trade value drop dramatically.

The Gold Coast football Club would not want any of that information to become public.

Yep. We would have to offer him a token 1 year contract on minimum chips for him to have any trade value at all. Brisbane did this with Hinge and although he was technically delisted Crows and Brisbane facilitated a 'pick swap' where we essentially sent them a 4th round pick.

If we have half a brain we agree to trade him to Pies but we sign him up for 1-2 years and agree to pay his salary in exchange for a better pick. Collingwood have cap issues so would make some sense.

It was that St Kilda game when we needed him, for me not playing somebody on King with any height spelled the end of Frampton.
