No thanks.I wouldn't do it myself but is there anyone here who wants Grundy? Could be available for 700k and probably not much in terms of picks. Probably the most like for like Jackson player in the comp. Depends if we wanna go all in on now

Which they probably would.I do it but only if Collingwood would be paying a good chunk of his salary.
Can we re-negotiate the contract length or would we be taking on his current deal (to 2027) with Collingwood paying x amount of his salary? Even if they're willing to pay a decent chunk of his salary I don't think it would be wise to sign him on a 5 year deal, given the amount of players on long term deals already.
I have never really seen him spend significant time forward so unsure how he would work with Gawn.

Fair point. Just seems unnecesarry to me to have two 29+ year old ruckmen on long term, big money deals if neither can contribute much outside of the ruck. Would rather us use the money to up our offer to Gus (or something like that). Its not like Jackson is any great forward so I dont see how that would be a deal breaker.
Grundy wouldnt be my first option, would much prefer a KPF, but if it was between Grundy and Lobb ill take Grundy.

Would also much prefer a KPF like you said, though from what I gather it's likely to be fairly slim pickings available.
Am I a prick for being dirty on Gus if he leaves? If Jackson leaves he was clearly always going to, but Gus was nursed through concussion issues then given a very generous contract in 2018 after one good season. He proceeded to do nothing in 2019/2020, had a good 2021 and is having a great 2022. Now if he leaves it’ll be purely due to money imo.
Yeah, any players from our 2021 squad can do whatever they want as far as I'm concerned.Yes youre a prick. He was a Grand Final hero. Played ******* epic footy this year and deserves a shitload.
Like I said a few pages back, we should trade Salem and keep Brayshaw if it comes down to money.
except for WeidemanYeah, any players from our 2021 squad can do whatever they want as far as I'm concerned.
They've given us plenty - not that they owed anything in the first place.
I don't think Ratugolea is a very good player nor will be the answer to our issues but if we can't get anybody better you can do a lot worse. If Jackson leaves (which I think he will) i’d love Amarty or McLean from the swans
I’d trade salem if it meant we kept gus also.
Thoughts on Ratugolea? I don’t know his contract status nor if he is injured or he can’t get a go atm in this Geelong team
yeah just be wary of Meek coming which i think is going to happen. Meek is a pure tap ruck, he will be a pretty good one but we should try to draft another ruck, can't have 3 of them playing lolI do think if Amarty isn’t available at all and McLean is and was keen on making the switch then you’d definitely go for it. 23 years old and max getting older we do need a ruckman ready to go sooner or later. They have hickey naismith and Sinclair who don’t have long left and landhams who will be their number 1 ruck.
I can see hickey staying for a couple more years and the other two maybe retiring. So nows a good chance with McLean
