Josh Schache from the Bulldogs would be available for trade. Kicked lots of goals in the VFL in his last 2 games. He finally has enough muscle to not fall over like an Italian soccer player, so he has potential to become good. Ideal spot is CHF, he isn’t a deep forward at AFL level.

Completely surplus to Bulldog needs as we have JUH, Darcy, Bruce and Naughton in the first team. Also bringing in Lobb, so that is 5 tall forwards and Schache would be the easiest to get. I think Bruce is cooked, otherwise he would be a good 1 year stop gap.

Late Second round pick would probably be the asking price. Add Hunter and Schache for a second and third rounder? Either as future picks would probably be fine too.

Dees have met with Schache’s manager in the last few weeks, so this isn’t me bribing this up for no reason.

How much are you paying us to take that pathetic weak prick?
I’d want a first rounder and you can pay some salary too.

So if we're looking at Hunter, and something in the 30's would satisfy the Dogs, could go to Brisbane and trade out 51, 52 and 65 for 34 and 71. They get a few more points for Ashcroft and we could then use 34 for Hunter?

I don’t think that’s the price for Hunter. You’d get away with your late third. He’s on 600k for the next two years.

RATUGOLEA, as a swingman, forward and defence - a better option than Brown IMO, adds ruck depth in a pinch, Gawn and Grundy will not play 22 games, be lucky to play 22 combined next year (well close) - 2nd or 3rd round?

Logan MCDONALD - I would make a strong play for him, missing GF with them putting in Reid who shouldn't have played. It would take a first-rounder but these are the big plays Cats would do.

Harmes - Why would he go to Bombers, he is like their third pick, had a go for Viney, Brayshaw etc Him wanting to have more midfield time is why we went backwards because it's about him, not the team, team first else go.

If it’s out: Harmes Jackson Bedford Hunt
In: Grundy, Hunter/ Tarryn Thomas and someone like Amartey/ratugolea and a first rounder then it’s a win.
I name Amartey and Ratugolea over bigger names as I’m trying to be realistic of who we could actually get but agree McDonald would be great and obviously it’s always a no unless you ask so I’m hoping we do

Three of those outs for us aren’t a big loss, one is.
If we could snag those ins then that’s 3 players who line up for us straight away and a first round player to either develop or good enough to play. We’d obviously just need decent draft picks to get what we want

You always draft the best player available (well who you have rated the best at that pick) and always draft for need (as the player has history)

We won a flag built purely from the draft. Our future will be built solely on the draft. As far as I'm concerned, savvy supporters should at least have an idea of the top 20-30 draftees. This current trade period is dictated by how Jason Taylor rates these players. Obviously he rates someone specifically in the top 7.
