Should be a cheap pickup, guaranteed to bring tackling pressure. We just have to convince him to come.

Every year we have 5-6 really elite rucks who win the taps pretty much every week. (Gawn, Nicnat, Grundy etc)
Below that group you have guys like Nank, Hickey, Stanley, Omac etc. who win the taps say 60% of the games they play.
You pay 800k+ for the top group.
You pay 400k+ for the second group and your really only losing the taps a couple of games a year more.
Just build a midfield that sharks taps well and the ruck is even less valuable.
4 on the list is already over kill.

They don't need to be elite but a lot of teams looking for decent 2nd ruck/forward types with the moves to sides playing 2 rucks every week.

The Aliir Aliir trade a good indicator for Logue. Future 2nd, and Aliir was under contract. Can't see Logue commanding a 1st rounder particularly after his omission and subsequent shuffling forward as a role player

This is much more rational

strruggled to get picked and played out of position. Good player, good pick but lets be sensible.

BF has been saying this for the last 2-3 years. Probably 2, maybe 3 years left if he can stay fit and injury free(he is an endurance beast) because he probably has the highest footy IQ out of any ruck playing. The guy knows how to influence games: either directly in the ruck, creeping forward for a cheeky goal, delivering bullets into the forward line, working in tight with his superb hands or generally being the 4th midfielder on the ground.

Its a problem for later on I reckon. We have enough other issues currently.

We need to get better at running. That is the biggest issue currently. Meek would not help that this year.

Has laid 33 tackles in the last 4 VFL games, an average of 8.25.

I’m comparison, Greenwood our leading tackler averaged 6.3 per game for the year.
