Also on the Hunter Clark thing, at risk of aggravating the many St Kilda supporters who are populating our thread, two years ago when we got Stephenson he was a contracted former top 10 pick from the same draft as Clark, but younger at the time and had a rising star and more tangible form than Clark but also had a similar down season the year he was traded. We got him for pick 26 and a swap of picks in the 30s + Atu.

Your boy started the rumour that he is coming to North. All I did was attempt to apply realistic input here.

After the last week of you boys talking priority pickabonanza on here. I think it’s required.
Here’s a tip if you come on to another clubs board, expect the posts to be from that clubs perspective.

I think the Roos would be better served getting logue for the future second something else for the future 3rd.

North should leave the saints list exactly where it is including hill and wishing them good luck in their list recalibration which is probably why Clark was even uttered in the first place

Oh and show a bit more respect when you visit before giving your unsolicited opinion

And they get salary cap relief to keep Brad Hill. Win/win in my books.

I think your all missing the context in what was said.

Clark is gettable.

Which would mean we are open to offers. But that’s the equivalent to seeing what’s out there and biting if something too good to be true has come up.

We aren’t selling him or trying to bin him.
Basically the afl ****ed both of us, there’s no way with our capital we can get it done without screwing you guys.

And....what do you propose to give up for Hunter Clark???

On SM-F711B using BigFooty.com mobile app
If Clark wants to leave, a future second rounder from a team likely to finish bottom 2 in a stacked draft is actually not that bad. Not great for a first round talent but still not the worst. Guess it'll depend on how much Clark wants to leave and if other clubs pop up with better offers for the Saints.

Same year Collingwood gave away Treloar and paid his salary

We are not in the desperate situation Collingwood were in 2 years ago

Its not a great comparison

Then there has to be more hairs on Clark than Sasquatch. He’s 23, talented, a leader and St Kilda are putting him out there. What’s the catch?

Thats what I heard.
I don't like it myself.
Our future first could be pick 1 in a strong draft.
But that is what I heard.
I respect that and cheers for sharing it.
Nothwithstanding all the different probable outcomes in the 2023 season, would’ve thought our future 2nd would be better for both parties tho?

It’ll come down to where he wants to go.
So it might mean he doesn’t get traded.

Again, we aren’t forcing him out. Which is what I’m trying to tell you guys.

Same way Hill isn’t being salary dumped.

Fair enough, your board and you guys can create and believe in any narrative you want.

I could realistically. See Hill going for either of your second rounders next year however.

What about PPF2nd and PPF3rd for Logue and 2022 3rd

The info comes from the saints camp.
That's all I know mate.
I feel like I'm badgering the person telling me the info if I ask too much.
I would be a terrible journalist.

Good all I see posted is what we think north would give up, if it doesn’t happen no skin off our nose. Again happy to miss on him.

That we’ll may be the case, so I clearly don’t see how we come up with that amount of draft capital without screwing our selves in the process, I doubt we take Hill, I doubt we take Clark.
If the afl gave us more we could’ve had something to work with

How much of the Hill not being salary dumped is dependent on De Goey's decision?

Unless we finish in the bottom 2, that is a shithouse deal for the saints.

Say we finish 15th.
Finish with pick 4 (1,878 points)
Say the saints finish 6th
They finish with pick 13 (1,329pts)

They’re getting rid of Clark for an equivalent of pick 34.
Saints aint finishing higher than 10th next season. Their list is going backwards.
