Yeah, can't argue that, but still doing alright to have 60000 + members for a club starved of success... Debt to be cleared in 2 to 3 yrs......
Hahahaha off to tassie you go :)

I actually don't think they fiddle the books at all.
All their superstars are old as feck.
30 year old plus are cheaper as far as salary cap goes.

Does Gunston to the Lions again underline free agency benefiting the top couple of clubs and picking the eyes out of the bottom sides?
Free Agency is ****ed.

It’s just the new mechanism for clubs to stay up the top longer, it’s anti-equalisation.

Until the AFL start making clubs pay for the FA in draft points, then most FA’s will go to the clubs up the top end of the ladder.

So effectively Brisbane will receive more assistance from the AFL than our shitty assistance package. Discount and access to the best young player this year and Gunston for free.

What would you rather, a future 2nd and 3rd Rd pick that has to be ontraded or what Brisbane will get?

Don’t get me wrong I like Gunston. But a forward line of Daniher, Hipwood and Gunston is soft as melted butter. McStay actually suits their structure better because he can do some of the bullocking work that Hipwood and Daniher won’t do.

West Coast gunning for two bites: chasing Cadman or Mackenzie perhaps…with another midfielder in the late 1st/early second round…

Smart by them, they are two years behind us in their rebuild.

They’d want to use a pick around 10 to get the local boy in Hewett. Could also be angling to get the two local boys in Buss & Hewett.
