Where are port going to get the capital needed for this,
we will need pretty much 3 first rounders to let him go or 2 very high first rounders.
They gona need to let some good players go and by good i don't mean ones they think are good.

Heard they trying to offer the tarps as part of the deal too.

Honestly, i can only see Port not getting their s**t together on this.

But, f*ck em.

Port and Brisbane are classic examples of getting in someone's ear and then behaving like Dodoro on steroids in not getting a deal done.

Not one of Port's players appears to have any interest in leaving and like Brisbane, their draft capital is completely overextended in satisfying other clubs and more importantly, the players and prospects they have made promises to.

Hey JHF, do you feel like hanging yourself out to dry? Here is a 4 by 800K contract but we only want to give a packet of twisties.

Yeah David Kock thought he was some sort of AFL savant ringing and txting a little boy :awkwardlook, but all he‘s achieved is digging a big **** off grand canyon sized hole for his Tarpies recruitment team.

It’s beautiful to watch 😍

He thought his business builders workshops would entice people to join too i imagine.

The prick has been spinning shit in the media all year about JHF leaving and didn't even prepare the required capital.

Tell them butters and pick 8 or go polish that ugly head of yours.

The below is from a player manager mate:

Put simply, “Generational Talent” deserves a ****ing better deal than pick#8 and Bonner! Port are ****ed for options at the moment, they clearly need help getting this done!

Something we all know 🤣

Possible elements to make up a trade from our pov mentioned in the media so far.

Draft Picks:
2022 #2 (WC)
2022 #8 (PA)
2023 R1 (PA)

Players:
Tier 1
Butters
Houston (to WC)
Georgiades (to WC)

Tier 2
Sinn
Bergman

Tier 3
Duursma
Bonner

For mine the minimum return is 2022 pick + 2023 pick from that group + an additional R2 selection preferably for 2023.

eg 2022 #2 + 2023 R1 + 2023 R2 (don't care whose)

The fine details of the trade would depend on the player tier. Fwiw I would pass on the tier 3 guys as would most on here it seems.

Yeah both Port and Brisbane taking the piss.

Brisbane even traded out their first rounder this year, it's funny because the dogs can GAGF for all i care.
Port on the other hand better start providing some good or they can suck a whole bag.

It just gets funnier and funnier how Port seem to dig their heels in and not think they're being completely stupid about how they're going about this trade, don't have the capital? Give us a player. Not rocket science, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

I'd prefer Adelaide get involved at this rate, they actually have something we can use right now. Port have to fanagle a big 3 way trade at minimum just to get the ball rolling.

The only negative from this is it obscures what our potential trade for Clark really looks like so long as this JHF remains up in the air. I say put down the phone at Port for being little bitches and start getting into Adelaide's ear, depending on how boring they wanna be.

GWS have shown previously they're prepared to trade up to get the guy they want, even if he's not the consensus pick, just to guarantee it. It could easily be Tsatas or Sheezel as well.

That as well, We might be thinking the same and going well if they take Cadman at 1 then we go Cheezels and Coldslaw and if they go Cheezels or whomever we might be happy as well to take Cadman and the other mid not taken by GWS.

I think it’s the dollars stopping clubs chasing him .. still owed 4 x 1 mil

Agreed. Having said that, if the Giants are serious about a TPP reset, it wouldn’t surprise me if they offered to pay $200k or so a year to have it off the books. At $800k x 4 I’d certainly do that if I was NMFC.

TBH, I’d do it at $1m x 4, considering the only blokes likely to demand really big bucks in the next few years on our list will be LDU, McKay and perhaps TT.
