yeah, i'd give a Stack another chance, even if it's on our extended rookie list. Him or Stocker or both pls
with Rookie contract and behavior clauses, why not Stack?

The clubs in a really interesting spot. 2023 will be about investing in the clubs culture, stability & making sure that the environment is both professional & positive.

Stack, although talented, isn't the right fit for us with where we currently are at IMO.

this is absolutely a fair and valid point, and i agree

the obvious caveat though is Clarko. if he's there, he'll be the one driving that professional culture. He carries a gravitas and he certainly wont take no shit in that regard

Tigers kind of know what they're doing. If they've delisted a guy with the profile of Sydney Stack it's a safe assumption they're seeing enough drawbacks to justify doing so.

I agree.

However, I could see the potential of some apprehension around using the Clarko caveat to bring in a first nations player with behavioral issues. Stack issues relate to lack of professionalism/crowd he hangs out/Monday-Friday etc. - Clarko would need to get quite involved to help turn him around.

I can understand why the club would choose to avoid this at this point in time.

Stack's definitely still got that talent in there somewhere and would transform the half back line, but we'd basically need to hire a full time chaperone for him. Might get along better with the lads than Judas, but certainly won't improve the culture any more than Judas. Heart says yes, head says no
