No its not, but I have had a similair injury and it doesnt prevent you from training or hitting the gym.

People need to get their head around that its not like the Pelchen era. The club wouldnt be looking at trading out Clark if they thought he would reach his potential. They see his efforts at the club and get feedback from his mates re his off field application.

If he doesnt end up going as Stavro has suggested he gets the wake up call he needs. I have complete confidence in the club making the right calls.
What about our recruiting and trading over the past 5, 10 or indeed 150 years gives you any confidence whatsoever that this is the right call lol? Let alone complete confidence. From an outsider POV Clark for a second rounder is a clear loss for us. Fcuk it's hard to follow this club sometimes.

Not at all.

You wouldnt trade Hill plus 9 for pick 1?

Seriously?

Or Hunter Clark and 9 for pick 1.

What would you trade for pick 1?

Saints 9 will end up 10 and the elite talent will be gone.

Saints need elite talent. Yes or no?

Remember when downgrading 9 to 10, you need to downgrade 1 to 2.

Only if you bid on Ashcroft.

Some dont rate him as clear #1. Gets a lot of possessions Tom Mitchell style with quick 1 - 2 handballs in close as opposed to bursting away, making territory and hurting the opposition.

Ashcroft will be bid on like Daicos, top 3. Maybe not 1.

Clark and the club both have come to agreement that trade is best for both going forward. Saints aren’t happy with Clark’s attitude during injury lay off and Clark also now happy to move on after receiving the negative feedback. Not sure that North are the only club Saints and Clarke are looking at a trade with but he wants to stay in Victoria.

We need elite talent as a priority, but nobody on the Saints list right now is elite. We have a couple of A grade players in Sinclair and Steele who play consistently good football, but mostly hit and miss talent on the list who are far from elite and faded away as this season went on.

It’s not even pick 1 though is it? It’s pick 2
I was thinking I’d trade again after I posted it.

try get 3/12 from the giants or 5/7 from the suns.

2 first rounders
2 second rounders

Lose pick 9 Clark Hill Long.

Spitballing. Having some fun with it.

Has to be bid on imo.

Can't believe North made it easy for Collingwood last year with Daicos.

Brisbane have enough going for them already without doing them any favors.

Honestly the more I look at the likes of Windhager and Owens impact so quickly, as well as King, the more I’m coming around to Clark in a trade. His best is great, and he has some rare poise and skills, but it’s been pretty inconsistent and after about 5 years, if we’re not getting the best out of him maybe it’s best for everyone to part ways.

If another club can motivate or play him in a better role or give him better guidance, kudos to them and Clark. So long as we get a decent pick in return.

Work rate is learnable. I'm loathe to trade players with abilities that seem to be innate (can't be taught) and also are not already existent in other players on the list.

Clark for a future second is dereliction of duty on behalf of our list managers if it does go ahead.

Saints pick Wardlaw / Sheezel. Get the media headlines, helps sells some memberships and the player gets $20k tax free investment package from NAB.

Its why North didnt bid last year.

Why give Lions the headlines and their player gets $20k? Let someone else do the dirty work and bid.

Impact so quickly?

Windhager was the only one to revive a rising star nomination.

Owens Showed a few signs but a long way off the best young players of the comp, same goes for NWM

I hope we aren't is it pinning all our hopes on those 3

Clark might be in the right age bracket to take the step and be what we need, and what he is capable of being.

But he and some others need to make the choice between being young playboys people professional athletes

The afl have carefully orchestrated jackson to freo 1st round and norths compo for logue and tucker/acres was going to be lobbe to bulldogs compo has changed that so they don't have to give a quality player to a team in contention.
Grundy to Melbourne enabling Collingwood to salary dump
Then collingwood return the favour and trade Norths picks for fiorini gold coast bobby Hill gws reducing salary cap pressure.
Then all the afl has to do is to enable brisbane to get dunkley and the points for ashcroft and fletcher through mcstay compo and whatever else they come up with.
Saints will probably lose out and get Norths 3rd round compo

If the rest of the list is ****ed - as it seems the club has determined - then we have to pin our hopes on maybe the 25 and unders:

25: Gresham (Highmore, Long)
24: Battle, Higgins, Paton (Clark)
23: Coffield (Bytel)
22: King, Sharman
21: (Allison, Byrnes, Connolly)
20: Wanganeen-Milera (Heath)
19: Owens, Windhager (Adams, Peris)

Not much of a core coming through there, makes sense that the club would be loading up on draft picks to build a team that can make the most of Max in his prime.
