Not sure if this has gone up yet from the Herald sun on out of contract players.
Thought Peris, Wood and Campbell were all signed up.
Interesting they think Highmore will stick around...

St Kilda (7)

Jack Bytel, Tom Campbell (unrestricted free agent), Tom Highmore, Jarrod Lienert (unrestricted free agent), Ben Long, Jack Peris, Mason Wood (unrestricted free agent).

Long has requested a trade to Gold Coast, where he has the security of a four-year deal to slot into the Suns’ backline. Back-up big man Campbell is set to extend his stay at his third club as ruck insurance, while Wood and Highmore are also sticking around. Bytel has interest from Essendon if he doesn’t stay a Saint but Lienert and category B rookie Peris may need to bide their time. St Kilda is ready to swoop if Jordan De Goey doesn’t re-sign at Collingwood, and it will be fascinating to see what happens with contracted young gun Hunter Clark.

If Saints think Collingwood will match our offer for De Goey, especially since they won’t get FA compensation because of Daniel McStay, then we should booby trap our offer.

Remove all behavioural clauses that were agreed to, up the offer to 6 years (salary cap will be increasing in 2 years), and add $100,000 per year to the offer.

Collingwood may very well match and think they are playing us as suckers with all their grandstanding about general behavioural clauses, but make them wince as they match.

Put the acid on them and also make it clear we don’t trade with them. De Goey only comes as a free agent.

It says those three are signed up

I cant believe that could be a clause , i think someone is making sh1t up

In commercial law you always add in a few outrageous clauses to get struck out hoping that you'll get them distracted enough to miss your prime objective and have it stand. Probably one of those but Jordy's fireman brother in law went troppo about it instead of asking to have it struck out and they stormed out of the meeting.

Highmore must have signed an extension reading that?
Sorry I meant Peris Wood and Campbell when I said those three but misread it, article says Highmore Wood Campbell. I know definitely that Campbell and Wood re-signed, I think Wood actually signed for 2.

Hopefully the article is right on Highmore, haven't heard anything but he is a required player and should be best 22 most weeks next year IMO.

Nope. When heading south east life ends at Barkley Street. It's a fact.
Moorabbin is easily accessible from many desirable suburbs in the bayside area. So many players live in the suburbs around me and we have two tac teams in that area. It‘s a training ground and a bloody good one now, apart from Geelong we all play at two venues again a very short trip away. You might think I’m kidding but if i was a player and Essendon called I’d tell them you’re kidding I’d rather eat glass than train where they do.

What will the apologies be for?

Our club being undesirable?

As I've been saying, it's a massive missed opportunity for us.

Also reported that we are the only club out of the race which must have come from St Kilda. Might have been best to just keep it quiet.

I guess the difference is you could live somewhere like Rye for a lot less than anywhere city side of Moorabin. You could sell the sleepy cheaper lifestyle where you get no-one hassling you most of the time. Part of the charm of Geelong is that you can live on the surf coast or somewhere closer to Geelong for a lot less than it costs inner city.

Not many fans get to training anyway. You could have kept Moorabin as a second training ground and women's footy hub with a shop. Anyway it's done now but it was probably a good idea badly executed.
Unfortunately it was never a good idea, and it was badly executed.
Which pretty much sums up our whole club over that period.

I've had to post that reply for you twice now. I said maybe St Kilda just didn't want Bowes.
Hard to know whether you're being obtuse or are just genuinely thick.

It's being reported now that it was never an option for Saints to trade for Bowes, which meant it can't be an opportunity missed, so you've had a little tanty about the club for nothing.

Mate, you seem to be the only one having tanties. You get aggressive with everyone that you don't agree with. You need to chill out. You post like you're flipping the table over and punching in the walls.

Like hating a girl who turns you down. He just got uglier and his personality is s**t.
He's still on the girls Dard Ball Get , plenty of time on his hands now the season is over. I for one am extremely concerned.

Have yours been patched up after last weekends fiasco?

Just seems strange that they are all listen at the top of the article.

Also find it hard to believe we wouldnt be keeping Peris for a few more years given his Cat.B status and from all reports has come along well at Sandy this year.
