Having said that, if the Bombers are prepared to cough up their 1st rounder for Bytel then maybe we can all get our biros out1st rounders aren’t paid for VFL players unfortunately for Essendon.

I'd imagine that if Dodoro was demanding a first for him then a deal just wouldn't get done and we'd all move onYeah I didn't expect Pick 9. Obviously a first rounder would be a starting point if the question was asked though. I certainly wouldn't respond to suggestion of a 3rd round pick. The bulk of the development work is done. He'll be ready for consistent AFL time next year I think, and I'd actually prefer we kept him; he and Draper will make an awesome 1-2 punch and Wright wouldn't have to ruck.
Anyway, responses here make it seem like a 2nd rounder is probably more appropriate from your end. If Bryan wants out, of course I hope Dodoro squeezes a first out of you. A late first would be great.
Enjoyed his information but bloke shut up shop as soon as he was challenged in any capacity. Imagine being cut up about strangers anonymously challenging you on an Internet forum about on a game.Weak call.

You sound Dodoro, a first for Bryant, look it is ok to talk trades, you have not been trolling so welcome, but a first? Yeah nah. You can have whatever we get for Ben LongYeah I didn't expect Pick 9. Only after having to listen to it drawn out over the full trade period. Respectfully laughable pretty much sums it up.I'd imagine that if Dodoro was demanding a first for him then a deal just wouldn't get done and we'd all move on
Good point, lets meet halfway and straight swap.
That could work.Good point, lets meet halfway and straight swap.
Still gets good info but has taken it to PM. In his words (in effect) 'too many w***ers on the forum'. If that fits you well that's for you to decide, I have never had an issue with you.Enjoyed his information but bloke shut up shop as soon as he was challenged in any capacity. Equally people took his information as gospel and then cut up rough when it didn’t materialise.
You’d be lucky to get an end of second round selection.Yeah I didn't expect Pick 9. Obviously a first rounder would be a starting point if the question was asked though. He has proven he can play at the level reasonably well. He'll be champing at the bit for an opportunity now. Just needs a consistent run at it.You’d be lucky to get an end of second round selection.
Investing 2 years of development into someone doesn’t add to their worth when they haven’t proven their ability.
Because it didn’t materialise doesn’t make it wrong.Enjoyed his information but bloke shut up shop as soon as he was challenged in any capacity. Imagine being cut up about strangers anonymously challenging you on an Internet forum about on a game.

$850k for two years, to get a potential gun for the next 15 years at pick 7....
I would do that EVERY SINGLE YEAR!!
Imagine buying an extra pick 7 every year for just $1.7mil on the books. You'd eventually get to the point of having too many stars to buy more pick 7s!
As many have said, seems like a no-brainer. We must be in some trouble if losing Hanners, Ryder, Geary, Kent, Long, and possibly some of Hill, Clark and Bytel.... and yet we can't buy pick 7? Spells trouble. Hopefully not another coach trying to save his own arse with a quick fix instead of bringing in quality early picks.
The mind boggles. There must be some criminally overpaid players in our list.
Most sensible post of the last 9532.Good point, lets meet halfway and straight swap.

Teams interested without pick 7.

It sounds like the Cats are going to spread it over 4 years so make it evened out to $650k pa or something.
I'd also rather it wasn't Dodoro, believe me.I hope we aren't into any of your players because your list management team seems to be the worst in the AFL to deal with and I'd rather Dodoro not get the air time.
"Reasonably well" doesnt get you Pick 9He has proven he can play at the level reasonably well. He'll be champing at the bit for an opportunity now. Just needs a consistent run at it.
No, that would be unreadonable."Reasonably well" doesnt get you Pick 9
Yeah, I can imagine. Skinny ruck with zero profile - not exactly the sexiest suggestion!
Maybe an upgrade of 22 to 9 with some late picks to help with our bids. But that’s only if Bryan is desperate to leave. He’ll definitely get opportunities at the saints, Ryder retired, Marshall seemingly injured regularly and Hayse has an ACL.
I'd also rather it wasn't Dodoro, believe me.
If you disagree with the suggestion I made, that’s cool. But I’d prefer not to be quoted on your board with such a pejorative tone. It’s not really a fair fight. From the Essendon board:
Some serious delusion going on. They really think we would piss away pick nine like that.
