The underrated (imho) Drew Petrie. I thought he was a fantastic player.Robbie Tarrant and Ben Brown.
Issue was they never had other mids as good as boomer. But they still won finals under Scott
I’d want a top 10’pick.
That looks unluckily. I would do #12
Okeefe and Papley come to mind.

If you are happy you tend to forget those types of things I imagine.Unhappy or attitude issue? Being told to get your ass in the gym and work on your fitness shouldn't be a reason to crack the sads. Secondly i thought he was pissed because he found out the club was shopping him around. So why would he be less pissed off next year if that was the reason?
If Clark wants to move and we won't allow it he will be moving this time next year whether the club likes it or not with less leverage.
If he walks to the draft next year, we won't be getting first round compo.

This is going to be a very interesting watch.
North are putting all their energies into Clark as their “big signing”as they haven’t got anyone else interested in coming to them.
I reckon they’ll go all out.
Very definitely a seller’s market though so we’re at a huge advantage. I’m really torn - would hate to see him go - but not sure what the price is that I’d have no option to accept though.
Fascinating couple of days ahead.
He was given a warning at the end of 2021. Coff got the same warning. Coff went off and hired a personal trainer from his own pocket prior to preseason. Came back in great nick and was looking to a breakout 2022 according to the club. Did his knee, can't pedict that.If he ends up staying for next year it will be just as fascinating how he comes out after all that has gone down. Might see the Clark we have all envisioned. At the moment we hold the whip hand!
The plan is for us and Hunter to be massive improvers in 2023, both the team and he have been performing WAAY under their potential and expectation.
If he and the team have a big year (as in finals, like we're supposed to be doing according to the president down), then I'm sure the prospect of going to lolnorf or anyone else won't exactly be what it is now.
Far better off backing ourselves and him in to stop underachieving, than accept average compo from norf.
And Hill is 40x more experienced but we have to give the ball to him moreIf we bring Byrnes or Bytel into the team and they only get 12 disposals , i'm kind of disappointed but still accepting of it.
Clark, with 6 times more experience than Bytel, can't be doing that.
He played an amazing game against Richmond in 2021, but hasn't come close since.
Tom McDonald is slightly adjacent in that he looked for a trade but no one wanted him. But he signed a new contract to stay 12 months later. Can you name any players who wanted a trade then didn't request one once their contract was up?
You don’t lift weights with your face big mannot so sure he took it easy JB
IMO a lot people are forgetting how bad and horrible that broken jaw was
Also this is the same coaching group that 2 years ago couldn’t be bothered to set a program and told the players to do there own thing Maybe the coaches set the example back them , same coaching group have done stuff all to fix Max’s kicking over 3 years maybe they should set the same example they want of Clark
My issue is everyone noticed Hunter's lack of physical development compared to others, why has it taken so long for the club to put the acid on him?
5 years to be allowed to be a "lazy" trainer is more of indictment on the club than the kid.
The club may have spoken to him, but surely a strength & conditioning coach grabs hold of him and makes him their project until he gets going?
The club never shopped him. We just never shut it down. Clark isn’t free from blame.Unhappy or attitude issue? I don't think St Kilda is inclined to play hardball with players who want to leave after the Stuv debacle.Clark has had the same feedback in both his last 2 exit meetings. The most recent was the most direct and challenging.
If he can’t perform because he has cracked the sads at being challenged by his employer. Then he isn’t going to be the player who takes us forward either.
David Coulthard begs to differ…You don’t lift weights with your face big man
This is also the same coaching staff that identified the fitness program as a huge issue and rectified it substantially. This is also the coaching staff that 100% worked with Max King last year during and post bye which substantially improved his kicking efficency.not so sure he took it easy JB

I don’t think telling him that we expect more from a pick 7 is a good strategy. Everyone says once pre-season starts where you were picked goes out the door. Pick 7 was the Clubs choice, not his. With this logic, pick 93 can do whatever the hell they want.He has sought North. Interest is two ways here.
The club have told him directly that a former pick 7 needs to deliver more.
I’ve already said he isn’t fond of gym work.
Outside of that what more can the club do?
They have given him the feedback directly and have been incredibly direct this past exit meeting.
What else can they do? Have someone watch him lift weights and train?
Or he has a huge year, asks for a trade and we get a Taranto like returnJust have to wrap a contract around him now so he can’t leave for nothing at the end of the year.
Clubs well within their right to say you are a former pick 7 - we expect more.I don’t think telling him that we expect more from a pick 7 is a good strategy. The message here should be “Hunts, you have some great talent and ability and you need to work on these areas to ensure those talents are optimised. You have one shot at this and performing to the best of your ability could set you up for life. Don’t waste it.”

I didn’t say it wasn’t their right, rather that it wasn’t a good strategy IMO.Clubs well within their right to say you are a former pick 7 - we expect more.
The club invested in Clark and his talents. There would be a level of expectation attached to that as opposed to a pick 70.
Disagree, he was a pick 7 because of high end talent. Jarryn Geary was a rookie for a reason. Also the reason he stayed on a senior list for 14 years was that he worked his absolute balls off for those 14 years. Jason Blake was similiar, currently Mason Wood, cut from the bottom team picked up as a DFA, making every post a winner.I don’t think telling him that we expect more from a pick 7 is a good strategy.
