Hayes and 15 would be a great result, but would pretty much guarantee that Battle has to play key forward.

If Battle struggles in the forward line we will lose him to another club. Something we'd need to keep in mind.

If we can get 15 with Haynes, and let's say 12 for Clark, we would in a decent position with 9, 12, 15, 27 and 32.... I wonder if Brisbane would be open to trading 27 and 32 for their 2023 1st?
9, 12, 15, 27, 32 is not a bad result

Out Long Clark
In Cordy, Haynes, 12, 15, 32

9, 12, 15 go out to 10, 13, 16, but 27, 32 could lower depending on F/S Academy maybe?
Would still like more for Clark but that trade period would be pretty good.

Lose a player I personally would keep but get two pretty good players plus two frdp's

You need to make sure you've a got a recruiter that won't put you in the same position in 5 years time though. There hasn't been much joy at the top end of the draft outside King over the last decade. We are gambling on Toce being up to standard.
people on here pull their dicks over NWM.

So that would be 2.

Or they could just ask Barrels

Melbourne stuffed their picks for years and got their shit together.

Nas is promising but he's probably off next year any way. Last year's haul was good but that's what most clubs get regularly from their recruiters. Successful drafts shouldn't be a novelty.

Fair enough.

Wasn't that long ago you were saying top 10 pick or nothing.

If it's become toxic with Clark I guess 15 is gonna have to be what we take, but I don't see why that would be a good reason other than that.

I'd rather have a 25 year old Clark in 24 months time than a 20 year old pick 15 if it were my call

Is there actually anything in the Haynes talk other than suggestions on trade radio? I doubt Giants would consider that

Isn't this all dependent on who the club has identified on who to draft. If that player is high up in the pecking order and is likely to fall in the 11-15 range then what's the issue? The Clark you keep banging on about at half back hasn't excelled in that position either.

I think we need a threadban for anyone who posts trade info about what other teams are doing without also posting an awesome hypothetical which results in the saints getting an awesome player and/or pick.

none of that tweet means anything to me.
im trying to care about it, but I just cant.

Does not seem to be anyone that exciting in the 15 range.

Maybe we can grab the next Matt Allison though

I can’t even imagine our recruiters could **** up 5/top30

And let with Nas is a good season.

Then it’s 2 x firsts with a second the other way.

All of a sudden. We have currency or can hit the draft again.

North get 12.

They are after Clark.

Edit I’m wrong. Ignore

They would have to get another pick.

If you go by PM Bangers list there will be some good high risk high reward types there but as you say. I'd rather keep Hunter and have he 4 years of development already in him. It's going to be hard to be happy with losing Clark if it's not a very high pick.

It's funny how guys have gone from top 10 pick or nothing are happy to trade him for pick 15, which ends up 16

I think people just want to be involved in the excitement of trade week.

I don't see the point at all.

Agree there are high risk high reward players there but more often or not those guys are more risk than reward

I was happy to read Clark was buoyed by Hayes coming on board. A keen fit and firing Clark would offer us more than a late first imo

Yeah let's see if this can be a wake up to Clark. Can't see us getting anything of real value for him anyway.

I find the treatment of Jack Bytel staggering.

He had a sh*t year, no sugar coating it. He should've stepped up but didn't... until the final fortnight.

I'm a Bytel fan, but his form and body got him a one year offer. Seems a fine call. I definitely want to keep him, but he seems to be getting what he deserves. Unfortunately a few other players aren't.

show us your draft order.

Because if McKenzie goes to the hawks. Something good falls our way.
Yep, something will fall our way at 10 if we stay there. It is a good spot to be. That has no relevance to trading Clark for 15 (16) though

Here is what PMBangers gave us last week. Order has changed a bit since then.

That pick gets you well out of that 2nd tier of players. Thats why I also wouldn't be looking at trading down and splitting our first
