A thread to keep track of the 2022 VIC School Football season and the prospects playing school footy.

Would be keen for those more in the know to post which talents are playing for which school.

Below is the only fixture I could find.

Was at Caulfield v Xavier. Really think the score line flattered Xavier. Caulfield dominated all day despite the awful weather. Blake Drury, Jaxson Binns my 2 best. Nick Watson did some electric things but not that dominant overall.

This may seem like a strange question but is there any more of a granular fixture anywhere showing actual APS game start times and venues (kind of like the AGS fixture)?

Or do APS want to keep this a private society where only the privileged few are allowed to know details?

Most games start at 1pm on the Saturday. Caulfield has a Caulfield and Wheelers Hill campus and they use mostly Wheelers.
Melb Grammar play at their Port Melbourne sports facility
Carey play at their sports facility on Eastern Freeway and Bulleen Rd
Wesley at Glen Waverley or St Kilda Rd campus
Hailebury at Keysborough campus
Brighton, Xavier, Scotch, St Kevin’s at their main campus

Thanks heaps for that. Miles more than I was able to find out online.

Live in Port Melbourne so keen to head along this Sat for an hour or so to watch Ashcroft etc given we're going to have one of the top 2 picks!

Looks like it is between Caulfield and Brighton. Caulfield flogged Carey and Brighton beat Melbourne Grammar. Last 2 teams undefeated

Brighton Grammar got cleaned up by Xavier leaving Caulfield as only undefeated team. Brighton lost their ruckman week before to injury leaving them a bit short. So if both teams win this weekend it will come down to the final round Caulfield v Brighton at Wheelers Hill CGS campus where it’s a either a tie or Caulfield win outright.

Lachlan McArthur from PEGS one standout talent on the AGS list above, only in year 11 kicked several bags of 5 goals and regularly 2 or 3 on other occasions and often switched down back for a qtr per game intercepting and rebounding out of defence with great decision making in the games I saw.

Gun cricketer who made a century in the Dowling shield premier cricket , heap of time, space, vision and decision making with good hands / kicks both feet. I saw him live vs Mentone and Marcellin often looked a class above very good height and pace. Good in the air and at ground level very clean.

Very rare to see a kid make AGSV rep sides in both cricket and footy whilst still in year 11. If a club can take him and he is then full time on footy rather than both sports he would have plenty of further upside you would think…

To do the double rep footy and cricket in only year 11 few and far between rare air …..can’t be drafter until next year 2023.

G’day Mr. McArthur, welcome to BigFooty.

Caulfield lost to Wesley on Saturday so this weekends game of Caulfield v Brighton is a winner takes all.
Game is at CGS Wheelers Hill 1pm, will be a big crowd.
