I need a break from watching us
100%. I'm just going to keep living vicariously through GWS' ball movement for (hopefully) the next two weeks, then enjoy six months of not watching men's footy.

I like that instead of a playing in a prelim that we’re debating how many first rounders our best players are worth and having anxiety over whether or not Mabior Chol is the missing piece.

Coach sacking threads, trade and draft debates, suggesting players shave their heads to 'toughen up'. It's all very comforting

in totally off Ryley Sanders. I just saw a highlights clip of him from the weekend. Fumbly, sloppy disposals, handballs have too much air time putting team mates under pressure and doesn't really thrive on the inside like you'd hope for an inside mid. Speed is ok, nothing special and his foot skills are ok, not good or bad. I don't see it.

Might not be fair to judge him solely off the highlights of one game. Ball use is definitely an issue, but I imagine he'll be an elite accumulator at AFL level, as he is at junior level. Very good on the inside and has a nice burst of pace coming out of stoppages, though his speed over distance isn't great.

Probably not the type of player I'd be targeting as his issues mirror those of our current midfield, but he'll be a good AFL player.

I don't think the Grundy situation was a mistake, they believed it could work, it didn't and now he'll get traded out for a similar pick. The way I look at it is if he had him on a loan for a year, thanks for the service but see you later. It's also business for him, he wants first ruck so fair enough, good luck.
I don't think the issue was with Grundy fails.

I think the idea was to get Maxy playing a mix of deep forward, which didn't turn around. Later in this season Max started to look better in the air, generally. Clunking some marks...

But max was very average following his knee scare. I think this was between the ears with Max. And he got back to his marking best after some talk of this.

We tried to fill two holes with one transaction. It didn't come off.

He was one of our best players against carlton. He stood up when it counted.
He has been one of our best, at connecting from midfield to our forwards in free play.
This is the area we have struggled with.

The other is getting the ball forward quickly enough from half-backline, to the spargo hot-spot.

Going long and high down the line, is just dumping the ball in, and allowing opposition numbers to work against us.

He's better than Chandler who was fn useless since Round 5. We should have swapped those two much earlier. We don't have enough smart ball users. Spargo is a smart ball user we'd be silly to let him go imo.
When he has enough space and time to get to work. our transition this and last year has been shyte. Again, long, high and slow is foolish.

JJ leaving the Dees.

Wouldn't have even given him the satisfaction. Should have terminated he's contract out of spite then left his premiership medallion at the front for Nathan Jones and Neville Jetta to pick up

So, you want to give up on getting some of Duursma, Sanders, O'Sullivan, et al, for someone who is next to over the hill.

Lynch would require our 1st Rnd pick, plus a heap of salary cap we gain from losing TMC, BBB, Grundy etc. A backward step we will feel in about 3 - 4 years, on-field. When we fall off the cliff.
I don't even want Lynch either

I know they aren't really related but sums up how s**t and boring our coaching is that we let Bedford go and kept this clown. One of the worst MFC players ever
In fairness I'm pretty sure we tried to keep both of them and they have both left for the same reason.

I was never a Bedford fan with us but the way he's come on for the Giants shows we weren't using him properly.

I was happy to let him go at the time but Jordan has played a shit load more games than Bedford. Had Bedford played as many we would still have him

Dunno. I reckon being a half forward and watching Clarry and co roof the ball over your head 50 times a game would be pretty special.
