Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

In C grade maybe. Those fat guys showing something at WAFL colts level are few and far between. If they're that far out of condition it's an attitude problem.

We have different ideas of fat. I'm talking about in the context of elite sport.

I also mentioned that you're looking for elite talent cheap when it comes with that baggage prior in this.

JOM is our best recruit so far (not saying much) did ok tonight.

Jackson average to poor tonight.

Do agree with all the names said except Treacy. He needs to work on heaps.
I respectfully diagree. With JOM, our midfield is too small and he hasn't helped with us getting smashed in the clearances every week. He also keeps out one of Johnson and Ras.

I told y'all we are years away. Getting JOM was a mistake. We need to be blooding Ras, Johno, Sturt, Treacy and Amiss.

Ironically, JOM showed tonight that he might be a good candidate for the HFF/mid rotation role that many people saw Johnson or Erasmus filling at some point before they went to the midfield full time.

I don't think he was a bad acquisition but clearly given our clearance woes and the fact he's not helping, it's time to look outside the box. 2 high-end midfield draft picks is a good starting point.

Yeah considering we have two big top young mids in the shed is at least comforting for addressing that issue but out side of a wc midfield circa 2005/6 we desperately need to some good coaching in there .
Our clearance work is diabolical, particularly out of the centre.

The fwd line however is still a major concern , really only have amiss you could be confident about atm.
Desperately need Treacy to make it and or Sturt

No KPFs between age of 22-29.
Taberner is 29
Then
Amiss is 20
Jackson is 21.
Treacy 20.

Drop Tabs and play Amiss/Treacy and the club admits it’s taking a step back.

Pathetic list management.

Don’t go after any B grade type to top up.
Himmelberg from Adelaide. Weideman from Melbourne.
I know they’re poor types however the experience gap is glaring.
In for a long 2023 as Amiss is miles from polished, Treacy hasn’t even proved anything at AFL level.

Blew the Jackson deal that now trying for Naughton, if that’s even possible, is going to require significant trades using current players.

This club and forwards man. Far out. Forever a letdown

Every club can trade its future first this coming off season. There's currency.

I think we should look to sign Brennan Cox and Sean Darcy before we spend the rest of the cash though.

Will say it again, Darcy has no improvement left with that body. The best he can do is recapture games from 21' and his first couple of season, also maybe stop acting like he's been hit by a car every time he gets taken to ground.

I just watch him and he's becoming dumb. His ego off the field of thinking he's accomplished has really seeped into this football. Slow, non penetrative handballs, careless kicking and loves giving his opponent 10 free kicks a game.

Wouldn't care if we lost him. Need picks for the Jackson disaster. We already have an established recent history of trading BnFs so why not add him to the bunch.

Cox is MUST GIVE BIG MONEY AND SIGN given Ryan & Pearces' standing beyond this season.

It’s already obvious that one of Darcy or Jackson has to leave.
It’s obviously not going to be jackson for several reasons we are all well aware of.
Darcy goes on the trade table as a “pre-agent” this year and we try get a top 10 pick for him.
Use the trade currency to either draft a decent forward or trade one in.

People won’t like this but it’s becoming increasingly evident at this early stage that it has to happen. The good of the club comes first

We need to sign Brennan Cox immediately. Throw the cash at him.

Agree that Darcy should be traded.
