Can anybody who watches CFB tell me why Alabama is 40-1 to win the Championship?

I understand they lost against Texas but surely this is good value?

Haven’t seen them play a single down for reference, I just know Nick Saban is an amazing coach and they’ve been historically great

Because they are not that good anymore. They will likely lose another game and will either be a 2 loss team entering the SEC title game or not make it, and no one will pick them to beat Georgia in the SEC title game.

a 2 loss team isnt going to make the playoffs.

If the name wasnt Alabama they would be 100-1 or more to win the national championship.

Bowers is a freak

Only saw the highlights as my usual site didn't have the game up but it looked like a good game. It seemed like Auburn knew they couldn't beat us in the air so the decided to beat us on the ground and for whatever reason we couldn't stop the QB runs.

Yes, Bowers is a freak. IMO he is the best player in college football and it isn't really close. If he played in more of a passing offence with a good OC he would win the Heisman.
