Our fans have wanted Avalos sacked for a while now.

The timing was weird though.

I dont know how he got past the Colorado State game

But to do it right after a 42-14 win?????

I'm guessing it was a condition of boosters.

To try and get a new HC for early signing and recruiting stuff in December while interm HC deals with any Bowl prep

So irresponsible when public universities are burning that much money.

Everyone involve in hiring Fischer should go as well.

The problem is the length of the contracts they give them. They fear someone else will lure them away. No coach should be getting a 10 year deal. The worst part is they extended it within 3 years.

IIRC the NCAA was supposed to be looking into these contracts and coming up with a way to stop them but they haven't done anything yet. I doubt there is anything they can do, though.
There was a great episode on ESPN daily podcast that talked about all the coaching dead money in college football.

It originated from coaches getting agents to deal with schools and the schools who would were like "we're just administrators, what do we know about negotiation and contracts", so this type of deal became the norm to sign coaches in a highly competitive market.

Crazy long term deals and huge payouts for sacking with no minimum performance standards. Plus no clawback or reduction if they find a job elsewhere.

The NCAA care more about buying kids sneakers and PlayStations then they do about coaches getting squillions of dollars.

LMAO!! What an embarrassing post-game interview by Sharrone Moore, the assistant who is filling in as Michigan coach.

You’d be forgiven for thinking Harbaugh had died, rather than being given a 3 match sideline ban for cheating.

I suppose the emotions would be running high with Michigan defeating their first semi decent team this year after beating up on the Big Ten cupcakes over the previous 2 months

Just saw this on TV now. Didn't realize this campaigner bawled like a BABY. WTF!!!

It's ok to cry, but not over your boss being stood down during the regular season
Both times he has been suspended the coaches and players act like he was murdered.
