There’s even some claiming 2 and our F1 in there, plus additional picks. No way known we would even do 2 and our F1, possibly one or the other, but no way would we pair them up.
I wouldn't be surprised if we traded 2 and F1 and maybe more. If the club is that into Reid I can see them doing it.

We are still giving our key tall stocks scant regard.
Fisher & Stephens - 150 odd AFL games
Pink & Bigoa - 1 game.
And totally neglected any key forward depth.

Will be interesting to see what happens at the draft.

It won’t take much bad luck next year for us to finish bottom again. So who’s the once in a generation talent next year?
I'd give Brodie McLaughlin a year or two as a DFA for key forward depth.

Young bloke, SA born and bred. Been promised that he'll stay there. Doubt we show much interest. Would hypothetically take him though

His dad was in Mel though as I worked with him about ten yrs ago before and after he worked in Egypt so has Mel connections too

Ok so who did you want picked up then? Koschitzke at Hawks? GC VFL forwards? Chol? They're a bunch of C graders and that's being generous.
The lack of key forward depth needs to be addressed somehow. Taking a chance on someone like they have with Pink & Bigoa would be a start. They are D graders wanting to be C graders.

KPF you can take later in draft and sometimes hit paydirt as they are late bloomers

There's no way that Archer is only 183 & 70kgs.
Toby Pink isn't 83kgs either. Larkey and Comben aren't 82. Wheres this data from? 🤣🤣

According to the club website he is 187cm/80kg, so that is pre-season weight, should be a bit heavier. Still underweight though.

So just looking at the list of list changes. 116/117 players have either been delisted or retired this year. Not accounting for LTI spots, DFAs and other trades etc, seems like a lot. Will we see clubs run with reduced lists or will we see a large number of DFAs/re-rookie this year I wonder.

Hayden crozier delisted
Not the worst option as a dfa

Im completely with you. But I don’t even think it needs to have 18 attached. 2 and 15 is ample. The WC clowns have been sucking each other off too much. Pick 2 completely undervalued by their moronic supporter base.
Edit: Or if we give them 18 we get 23 back to us.
If we do trade for 1 I hope we pick Walters.....take the pressure off McKercher, erm Reid, whoever. Media guessing with the 2 and 2 of our teens picks for 1 and 23. We would have definitely tried 17/18. I reckon 2 and 15 is enough. 2,15 and 18 probably fine too for 1 and 23. As long as we have 2 of the top 3 picks, I think Brady/Clarko/Viney have a good handle on who they are targeting to fill list needs with other picks.

Is Nate Caddy more worthy of pick 3 than people are saying?

Seems to tick a lot of boxes particularly for our needs.

Everyone will have slightly different valuations, but for me it's tier-based;

Tier 1 (in order):

Harley Reid
Jed Walter*

Tier 2 (in order):
Colby McKercher
Dan Curtin
Nick Watson
Ryley Sanders
Nate Caddy
Zane Duursma
Ethan Read*

We know clarko doesn’t rate rucks
Take an athletic big man who can run all day, mark around the ground and lay tackle after tackle, and basically be another inside mid at centre bounces backing up their own ruck work, drift forward and hit the scoreboard, drift back and block leading forwards. Problem is they are few and far between! Gawn, English, Goldy (well and truly past it now he's wearing those putrid colours) really about it.

I watched a youtuber talking AFL draft, seemed to know his stuff until he said it would take pick 2,3,15 and f1 to get Harley Reid. There are a lot of people out there and in here who believe in unicorns.

It's an interesting one. I suspect Clarko prefers the big bodied bullocking ruckman (Mumford etc.) to the athletic mobile type (Hence Goldy being on the outer). It's no coincidence that GWS's form turn around came the moment Briggs got preferred to Flynn. I suspect he's hoping that Xerri can become the big body that crashes packs and clears space around the stoppages for the midfield to go to work. He certainly isn't going to sprint forward and clunk pack marks! Fremantle is an interesting study here, because they have both. If they decided that the athletic Jackson was the future then I can imagine Clarko being all in for Darcy.
