You’d think it would be that if we want him we get him. Because realistically he has as good a chance to come in to our midfield than he does pretty much any other Victorian midfield.

Rumors were he was our preferred pick in 2019 when we traded out of the draft to Melbourne (took Powell the year later) we traded the pick as we didn’t think he would get to our pick, which he ended up lasting to on draft night….

For me, if McKay stays then go after Himmelberg. If McKay goes then I would prefer the compo to get Caddy or Watson. And be on the phone with GC or GWS about moving the Port pick up to get O'Sullivan or Curtin.

Why is it 800k to get band 1 for us but for others it’s 700k

You need to be in the top 40 paid players in the league to trigger Band 1

So $750-$850k Is what McKay needs according to that.

Band 1 is top 5% of players in the competition. So roughly top 39-45 players.

It's adjusted for age and weighting is given to your ranking based on your age.

O'sullivan or Curtin. One of them will likely go in the 8-11 range.

GC need points to match a top 3 bid and another first rounder. If they're at pick 9 then thats only 1469 points. We can trade them 16 + 39 + 53 + 59 = 1904 points.

I don’t think GWS are interested in losing Kelly, personally. They paid him not once but twice in light of our interest.

Not sure they have major cap issues with their outgoings the last two years.
